I've been waiting for this pairing since Yanxi Palace. Loved her with the Emperor but I also love them together too.

I just need someone to tell me if his friend/Guard is still waiting outside his EMPTY tomb, cause he thinks he's dead. Like WTH!!! The first part of this series felt like a completely different show, i prefer it over the hot mess the rest of this drama was though.

Did writers change their mind halfway through writing and just create a new story?!

Story of Ming Lan is probably the last time i felt this good and satisfied after watching a historical political drama. With an awesome power couple.

Good drama, but the last story line dropped the rating to a 7 for me. It was done very poorly and showed very little character growth with the FL. Wish it had been handled differently. I was expecting some like Boss & Me/Shan Shan Comes to Eat, where the FL starts out immature and youthful but by the end she has grown an learned to handle situations as an adult.

So underrated, one of my fav supporting actors. Such a talent and a joy to watch.

I understand your frustration....but is it fair to review the show when you dont like the core story premise. I could understand if you watched it and said the female lead wasnt as good as Mo Xan or likeable and a bad actor, but to just review the story based off your dislike ofnthe premise seems a bit unfair to me. Its not my fav premise either but i dont hate it so im gonna give the WHOLE story the opportunity to impress me. Just saying.

Imagine being a writer and you write a book about wolves, and someone just leaves a scathing review that they hate wolves and how could the author write about this. It just doesnt seem right to me ?‍♀️

I agree. In Story of Minglan, just by using bangs they made her look very young, and she is such a good actress that she can play a range of ages and you believe it. Im looking forward to this if she's in it, because i can trust her to take the role seriosuly as always.

LOL can Zhang Han handle all these awesome women......this cant be real.
