Depends on how you view it, but I would say it’s bittersweet.
They ended up together, but because he saved her life, he only had 10 yrs left to live. They didn’t show him dying. It ended with them laughing and loving each other. So it was an open ended ending. According to other people, in the novel, they found a cure for him. They both lived happily ever after.

Exactly…he has only 10 yrs to live. Why would they want to spend it ruling, when they can just live happily for the next 10 yrs. Prince Huang deserves it too because his views is just like FLX and BFX = peace. It’s their happy ending not ours 🥲
