They are not flashbacks but back story so it's more like 7 episode of mystery to then all puzzle pieces coming together in the background story. Consider that the target audience is Korean so seeing the veterans coming on screen is basically like seeing suddently thier Arnold Schwarzenegger, Keanu and other similars on screen so that's the bulk of everything
