This comment hits HARDDDDD… You said IT ALL. Seriously, people should and have to stop being so biased. There are so many kdramas with huge age gaps and teacher x students, but we don’t see them saying something or complaining about it. They only complain when they don’t like either the actress or actor. Or both. That’s when you see them talking about the problem.

And when you confront them with that aspect. They’ll be the first ones to point out how it’s fictional, not real life. But also the ones to complain about the FICTIONAL CHARACTERS. 😭

I watched MFEO & IOTL . And I of course liked both The FL & ML are ones of my fav actors. And I like kdrama that speak how harsh people are, (sad reality).
But Wow… damn, just say you’re mad IONTBO is more popular than what you expected and move on. Why are you trying SO HARD. to convince people to hate what you hate and love what you love? Like it doesn’t make sense how you’re everywhere trying so hard to make people understand why the should hate that instead they should love that.

But I want to know where you saw the abuse in IONTBO because you be talking about it too much.

And why so many people keep talking about KMY to see a psy. Again… pills and psychological help DO NOT WORK FOR EVERYONE. Since episode 2. The FL said nothing ever work for her to heal. And the ML also added people avoid patients like her coz nothing can heal them. What she needed was someone to lean on, someone to understand her, someone to appreciate her. Which she never had because her mother prevented her from meeting people. She was mentally abused by her mother and her father didn’t even try to help her.

And she said “the one who neglects and turns a blind eye to the abuse is the worse than the abuser” because of a story she hated that her father told her while she was young. And when she confronted her her father she told him how he turned a blind eye on everything her mother put her through… Yeah there were some abusing, but it was from side (support) character. Not from the main C.

And now that I think about it MFEO is kind of the same as IONTBO. Not because the FL lead went to see a professional meant there wasn’t romance with the ML. Yes they went to a professional but do you really think them visiting psy helped a lot? Like really… Visit after visits they still dealing with their mental health issues. It didn’t even help that much because if it did, she could be better day after day, but she was still walking with sunglasses, cautious about her surroundings EVERYWHERE she goes & EVERY TIME.

Funny parts it’s the romance. Just like IONTBO the FL also needed someone to lean on someone to understand her someone she can count on without that person judging her, understanding her mental problem. And the romance you hate on IONTBO is also the same romance as MFEO & IOTL.

The romance that you and so many people keep complaining about happened in the list of dramas you said. They both showed romance as to how it healed the characters

The funniest thing is. The romance in all (IONTBO MFEO IOTL. Is just to show you how the characters finally find someone to depend on ACTUALLY HELP THEM TO ESCAPE/forget THEIR NIGHTMARES. And they fell in love with each other.

In all of those dramas, both FL & ML are helping each other while trying to discover each other’s out.

But why is that you seem to give more criticism over something that have almost the same thing as something that you like?

Is it because KMY didn’t go to the psy? Which again, meds, psy DO NOT ALWAYS WORK. Or because it wasn’t easy for you to understand, or because you couldn’t read between the lines? Because MFEO & IOTL are really easy to get. There are people who liked IONTBO just because it was a good drama and they enjoyed watching it or the characters. And there are people who enjoyed it even more because of the harsh reality it portrayed, some could relate and some couldn’t but still understand the message…

My question is why so many are really trying too hard to make it the worst because it wasn’t their cup of tea?

That’s the thing. I might sound bizarre, but I’m actually glad that she didn’t apologize for things that people made up. She doesn’t need to explain why the rumours are false when some (so many) choose to believe it was true based on what they read. Even if she explained herself, I doubt that people would have believed her. Cause look how much she lost, how so many people completely turned her into a bad person. Many called her bully, toxic, list goes on. I mean why explaining when so many choose to treat her bad before even giving the benefit of doubt.? People judge others based on what they see or read and suddenly what they think, it’s the truth.

So sad how people didn’t really see the meaning behind IONTBO…

But of course it’s the worst kdrama for them. I just noticed people who judging it a lot, are the ones who either only watched 2-3 episodes and drop it, or those only watch where the FL touched ML abs. As soon as they saw that it was s**ual harassment…. Judging the whole show they didn’t even bother to watch by two stuff. Strange thing is, there are some kdrama where the male lead kissed, hugged the FL without their accord, but it wasn’t considered as S-H. This is why their “if it was a man it could be worse” argument doesn’t sound right to me. Because it always happens had been and keep happening but many men don’t face any harsh or even don’t face… a punishment at all. Love to bring the “if it was men..” argument, and don’t actually do anything when IT IS ACTUALLY HAPPENING. In“backstreet rookie” the girl kissed the guy without his accord, then why aren’t we talking about it as well? Or in “Itaewon class” when she kissed theML who was sleeping. ..

Your last sentence is EVERYTHING…. « Pills and therapy do not fix everything »! I love that you point this out. Because I really didn’t get how some was implying that she should go see a psy. When it was as clear as water that psy wouldn’t even cure her. KMY was a lonely girl since she was young. In her mother’s hand. A mean, witch mother at that. The only person who could have helped her out of that prison was the guy. But didn’t work because the mother saw that coming so she prevented it. So now that her mother isn’t around and luckily met the guy, she couldn’t let it pass, because her mother prevented her from meeting others people, nor even having friends.

As she was helping the ML with his brother. It was a win win for them 3. People who complain about her cutting hair resolved everything. To me it made sense, because her long hair was an attachment with her mother and her evilness. Her mother kept reminding her how she was her greatest invention, which somehow mean she wanted her daughter to follow her paths. but KMY kept resisting, but because of her mother she’s having this disorders, personality disorder. Her meeting the ML was a game changer.

But yeah for others it was toxic, didn’t make sense, bad show, dramatic, and so on.

Except of focusing on the main point of the drama, they constantly remind of how the FL was.

I mean this drama is made for people to read between the lines. If you can’t of course it’ll be bad for you

Which somehow pathetic. They want people to do as they did when they hate it but still watch other things that have the same thing. But because it’s their faves they will ignore that part.

FOR REAL. Or when some are saying ‘how people make her a strong FL just because of cursing.’ it doesn’t make sense. Not because she cursed a lot meant she wasn’t a strong FL. And many of strong FL lead curse a lot, but they’re still considered strong FL. Why isn’t this applying to this? You gotta be really blind not see the characteristics of a strong woman. And the dramatic some are so on about, was it because she yelled a lot. Is it because she was forward and bold a lot ? But thing I don’t get is how some hate how this character is but love it on Jang Mal Wol in hotel de Luna. They both played a similar role. Pretty Savage rich queens with bad behaviour.
