in weibo the drama page is flooded with comments from angered esports fans but on other chinese platforms, its pretty much well received with millions of views and many positive comments, i guess cnetz who aren't "esports fans" don't care much about the background of the drama or the controversy that wraps around it, some people only cares about the story and its good looking casts and most prob also the kissing scenes (coz theres going to be a lot, as some say- ive read the novel, and yep theres a lot)

deng enxi was trained to be an actress tho, and had all the time and preparation for the role, meanwhile for cheng xiao, she came from getting overworked by her company by filming shows in both korea and china, she was even not able to finish her korean show coz she had to join the drama crew already

she fell asleep and woke up speaking chinese on her korean show because she forgot where she was, all due to exhaustion, she woke up early and studied her script while filming and all


she worked hard for legend of awakening and im proud of her, theres many things to praise in that drama too, she did great and got a lot of praise for her action scenes and some acting parts, its not so bad as what others say ~
