He is born literally 2 weeks before me, trust me, I get you! It's weird seeing actors my age playing teenage characters when I'm so used to actors in their 20's/30's playing high school/university students.
Hmm . . . I hope Zhang Jing Yi isn't being type casted in Republican type dramas, or she isn't just sticking to scripts types she has done before. That would be a great waste of her talent, which she has a lot of. She showed really good characterization in Fall in Love and I think she should be able to apply it to any character she likes, not just stick to Republican era women characters.
That being said, fingers crossed for a happy ending!!
Yay! I was missing Chen Xing Xu after Fall in Love, but the release date is too far off! Oh well, as long as it's a good drama with a happy ending, I'm fine with waiting lol ;)

This is such a beautiful movie, I thought the whole time that they would have Athena do a miraculous recovery at the end, but it turned out that she was only holding on so that she could see her "Gangster" one last time before she dies. I always cry in scenes like these where someone loses their loved one in their arms, and I was bawling into my pillow when Athena died in her love's arms.
I felt so sorry for Kenji then, he waited for so many years for their time to come, and when it was finally their time to meet again, all they had were a few minutes only. This just proves that sometimes you don't need years to fall in love with somebody, it can happen in just a few weeks or days, and it will be enough for a lifetime if you ever have to separate. But I then felt happy that Ken and Kelay got together at the end, it felt like closure for me, that even if Kenji and Athena couldn't have their happily ever after, a part of them will always be in Kenneth and Kelay, so in that way, they have kind of their own happy ending!
