I write this here, because I think some people missed the point and gave low rating:
I think the writer is a pure genius. Each cases are not standalone but linked to each other and developed the characters.
In episode1 with the delivery guy, the self-centered ML open-up a little to the humanistic side by helping the FL solve the case. It also introduced the FL right away to his secret. The gambler son episode is where they collaborate further and the FL building her trust. Here also the ML rethinking about his ambition on living on an island means he will be alone like the gambler, not what he has in mind.
In the third case with the drug cartel and the dog, the 10 years issues between his grandpa and the FL dad solved without dragging it further. Here also we can see the dark side of the chief and his son. She also learned not to judge before hear from both sides. Alongside with the storytelling, the comedic is on point without exaggerating.
Even the comic scenes existed to tell the story unlike some drama, where some cases have no link and just exist as fillers. These are also the reasons, the rating went up a lot.
Even it is labeled as comedy, the character development and the storytelling are needed in drama to make people feel intact.
Yes, it worth watching now or wait. Because it really fast-paced and the cases solve fast
Every two episode that airs every week makes me like this drama which I loved at the beginning a lot less, I even…
On the contrary, I think the writer is a pure genius. Each cases are not standalone but linked to each other and developed the characters. So the ending really pissed me off. One thing for the ML to break up with FL but his reasoning was stupid. Also…
because they try to hard to highlight the second lead that they stopped discussing the second half of the show with the original author, Soonki. She has openly voiced her dissatisfaction. If only they stick with the original where the second lead is just a friend to Seol, this 1 could be another masterpiece
ig he is problematic and thats why he lost a lots of fans
Lots of actors in korea are underrated, but lots more are overrated. It does not mean the underrated ones are problematic. I understand that this actor do got lots of hate since Cheese in the Trap, but do read from both side of the arguments before labeling someone.
It has been 6 years, but the heartbreak from this drama is still there. I remember watching until episode 10 and waiting for Yoo Jung to appear, but just only for a few scenes. And then it gets nowhere with too many piano scenes. And here we hear again about all the second lead syndrome. Some even go far cursing the ML actor. Both the drama and the webtoon, Baek In Ho is just a friend. Why does the FL need to be forced to love her friend? which does not make sense. If only they make it right without trying too hard to force the love triangle, it could be a masterpiece.
This actor is one of the underrated in Korea. He has suffered depression since a very young age and got legal military exemption because of that. After so many hardship he got to where he is now. Not a chaebol, and not even have big agency to backup. But haters still going around create malicious rumors and defamation articles and try to bring him down. It sad to see that after many years there are still people who did not check facts and believed in rumors. That why there are many suicide cases in korea especially among celebrities. I hope he stay strong and do his best
You know he is a good actor when so many people hate him in Cheese in the Trap, some took it too much by also hating the real actor..I don't think any other actor can executed Yoo Jung character really well..but hopefully..more people love him now..he has been underrated for many years eventhough he is among the heavily awarded actor
his two years break is not actually a break. He filmed Forest last year and hopefully, they still wanted to air Four Sons after all the fuss. Old School Intern is a light comedy-drama he wanted to make before doing more heavy dramas.
