And another rant about actors: AJ and JJ are both decent actors when only one of them is in the series. But when they are billed together, they just disappear into the background noise. Let's see if this time will be any different.
i'm not sure about him being a red flag, that's just another 2023 hate campaign that a lot of gmmtv actors suffered…
Directors do not always get their choice of actors, they may have to compromise on choices for secondary roles according to the producer's desires. Maybe his family is rich and is bankrolling part of the production, or they know dirty secrets :)
Even though they've known each other for a long time, I believe they haven't come out, perhaps for fear that it…
Also, the "I don't want to lose a friend" trope may be common in BL shows, but that's not how reality works. These are not high school or even college students experiencing their first love!
In any case, that subplot was unnecessary, it added nothing to the storyline.

You are addressing the wrong issue. The crush notwithstanding, it's inconceivable that they wouldn't know the other guy was gay, as evidenced by their responses to whatshername.
The substitute teachers subplot was totally unrealistic. It is beyond belief that they weren't out to each other, and only slightly believable that 'Benny' could have kept his crush a secret.
Rant #2: nobody cares that the series is not following the novel it may have been based on, or that you think a previous version from another country was better. Judge a series on its own merits!
Impure thought: in the USA it had been common practice for decades to practice genital mutilation on male babies at birth, regardless of religion. The colloquial term for circumcised/uncircumcised are cut/uncut. Which, to those of us whose sense of humor is stuck in grade school, having "cut" and "uncut" series has an extra meaning :)
Rant #1: When this started airing, I tried paying for the uncut version. There was some cock-up [pun intended!] when you put together idiotic region restrictions, youtube prime, google pay, and VPNs, and I couldn't get a payment through. I guess I got lucky. Forget kisses, did they even have a proper shirtless scene in the uncut version? :)
Finally catching up, still on episode 2. There ought to be a way to jump back to comments much earlier, scrolling through a thousand screens isn't fun.
