I think I've seen too many BLs. Read my spoiler to see if your brain is as BL-coded as mine.
From the moment Singha's not breathing to the cut to police talking with the news I thought, I wonder if someone going to be in a coma like in PitBabe 2. Then the doctor talking about the patient's life, I thought we can't have someone die like in Reloved. Then with Thup and Singha in the hospital bed I though oh no it's Interminable. And finally the last 5-7 minutes were a mix of Pitbabe starry night and P10L/MMP camping tent scenes.
I need to take it off my chest. I just started watching it and the editing is so annoying. I hate the exaggeration…
With some Thai BL the music and editing takes me out of the show, but for Me and Thee it leans so much into it by episode 4 I already knew which sound effect and edits they were going to do and that made me laugh so much more. I think this is truly the only show where the editing and sound work so well together. Like MDL Juju said it's basically a character on the show.
I don't think I've ever seen a show tank so quickly in my life. The only reason I stuck it out for this long was because of Don and Pond, but that ship has sailed in the worst direction I might add. And the main character can't get their shit together. I've said it before and I'll say it again: WHY DIDN'T YOU JUST COMMUNICATE! Dropped!
How can a series be rushing to the ending and also so slow at telling me anything. I came for BillyBabe because their chemistry in the Sign was amazing, and while the chemistry is still there and the supporting cast is great the plot oh boy! I almost dropped this because this plot was going everywhere and nowhere at the same time, but I stuck through and I'm left feeling meh. It's not horrible but it's not amazing either. Lukewarm is what it is.
I'm watching the show now but please tell me I wasn't the only one that was annoyed at everyone misgendering the…
Also if you ever read any Thai BL loves that aren't officially translated you'll see the pronouns swap ever other line. Not every country has gender specific pronouns.
I love both series for different reasons. Khemjira I felt wasn't suppose to lean too much into the horror but more so the spiritual.Yes it's slower, but that's ok it because it still had my attention. Both shows did great in the costume, set designs, and use of CGI. You can have a great story, but if your set looks too fake or the costume look like something you can buy from Temu then it takes away form the show.
