Series focus on the two male leads, not the females. They do become part of the team, but no love stories that'd absolutely drive you nuts like other Chinese series, which is I stayed and watched the whole series. I hate whiny female leads and dumb/playful male leads type of dramas.

The Emperor wanted to get rid of his sister and son (for some unknown reason). Maybe he thought they were both trying to get rid of him and stole his chair (crown). And he needed to throw someone under the bus for Sass' crimes, so he picked Pei and the eunuch.

Love this drama. Binge watched 10 hours of it on a cold Saturday. Can't wait for Season 2. Been a while since I watched any great Chinese drama. I'm so glad even after they add the second female lead that it didn't get too silly and dumb focusing on the love story.

After watching 5 episodes, I’m glad there’s no silly love story that would ruin the drama. Hopefully, it stays this way. I can’t deal with anymore strong male and silly naive female lead storyline from mainland China series….

Started watching this series. Love it! Hopefully, it doesn’t go dumb and ridiculous like The Sleuths of Ming Dynasty toward the latter parts :-D

Good series. Just don’t understand why they didn’t just call the cops. That would’ve solved a lot of things, or both of them go and kill the guy together in the end :-)

I like this series. My only annoyance is the music. Too much music. And sometimes the music is played louder than the actors’ talking, so it’s a bit annoying. Sometimes the music pops up out of nowhere. They should use the music without the singer voice. I think that’d be better, as background music.

Hope we see a longer series with these actors.

I agree with you. So many of these actors are so “white” with the heavy makeup. I think they need to lay low with these actors when it comes to the heavy makeup. Pavel looks unrecognizable! He was so cute in 2M2.

This is the question I ask myself watching all these Thai gay series. How does a straight guy go gay so fast?

I was hoping they would add this storyline in so it’s more romantic that Vee has had feelings for Mark for a long time. :-)

The only issue I wish they should’ve added is Vee having a crush on Mark since high school or when they first met at the university. Not a lot of straight guys turn gay because a drunk gay guy pressure them into sex. This would make more sense versus Vee falling in love with Mark out of nowhere. Nuea explained why he liked Mark during the game part, so at least we know why.
