I genuinely don’t understand the hate that 2gether: The Series gets nowadays. Most of the negative comments I see are probably coming from newer viewers in the BL community who weren’t even around when this series was released. As someone who has been watching BL since before the 2gether era, I witnessed how INSANELY popular this series became, not just in Thailand but around the world.
It was literally everywhere!
And you guys seriously have the audacity to call it one of the worst BL series ever made? Be so for real. You’re allowed to dislike a series, but acting like 2gether contributed absolutely nothing to the BL industry is just ridiculous.
Let’s not rewrite history just because it’s no longer your favorite series.
Whether you like it or not, 2gether played a HUGE role in bringing Thai BL to a much wider international audience. It introduced so many people to Thai BL, helped GMMTV gain international recognition, and brought countless fans into this community. During the pandemic, when people were stuck at home and looking for something to make them happy, 2gether became a comfort series for so many of us. It wasn’t just a show; it was an entire era.
And about the BrightWin situation? I understand why some fans feel disappointed that we may never get to see them reunite in another BL project as Sarawat and Tine. We watched their chemistry, followed their journey, and became emotionally attached to the characters they brought to life. Of course, people are going to miss them.
But some of you are now directing all that frustration toward the series itself and GMMTV, as if 2gether deserves to be hated simply because the actors have moved on to different projects and genres. You’re blaming the very series that introduced you to them, just because reality didn’t turn out the way you wanted.
Yes, GMMTV promoted their pairing, and yes, the way the industry handles on-screen couples can make fans emotionally invested. But we also need to understand that actors have their own careers, ambitions, and choices. They are not obligated to remain in BL forever, nor are they required to continue working together just to satisfy our expectations. We can miss BrightWin without demanding that they return to the exact same roles.
You can be disappointed about what happened to BrightWin without disrespecting what Sarawat and Tine meant to so many people.
And let’s be honest: if 2gether had never existed, would some of you even be part of this BL community today? Would Thai BL have reached the same international audience at that particular moment? We can’t know for sure, but its impact is undeniable.
The series might not have been perfect. It might not have had the kind of intense physical intimacy, storytelling, or romantic development that newer BLs offer. That’s fine! Every series has its flaws, and we can acknowledge them. But criticizing its weaknesses is VERY different from pretending that it was never important.
Some of you judge older BLs using today’s standards while completely ignoring the time, circumstances, and impact those series had when they first came out. A series doesn’t have to be the most technically perfect production to become iconic.
I will always be grateful for 2gether, Sarawat, Tine, and the memories this series gave us. I miss the old BL community, the excitement of waiting for episodes, the fan edits, the discussions, the friendships, and the feeling that we were all experiencing something special together.
You don’t have to love 2gether, but at least respect its legacy.
Because before you call it the worst BL ever, remember that for so many of us, it was the series that made us fall in love with Thai BL in the first place. And no amount of hate today can erase what it accomplished back then.

Jus finished this series and the only thing I can say is I AM SO IN LOVE 😭🥺 This is a masterpiece and really deserve it’s recognition. It’s been a while since I watched any chinese drama and I really hate myself for sleeping into this series for almost 2 years! Now I dont know how to move on easily from their story. I want more. Sang Zhi and Duan Jia Xu 🥺🥺🥰
One of the best chinese drama from year 2020! still vivid in my memories while watching this at home, we were lockdown and the pandemic is happening that time. it’s been a years now!
I have read somewhere that she's reported to take the lead role for the korean adaptation of "Love at first Kiss" with TXT soobin. I'm not sure if it's true but I hope!!! I really love to see her more on tv screen 😭😭💕
I first watched him on his debut drama accidentally so I forgot almost his face and name, then I started to watch Police University and I keep thinking where drama did I watched this guy from? then I find out he's the main lead on You Make Me Dance. Then I am currently watching School 2021 because of Cho Yihyun then I find out he's the main lead too! I really like his chemistry with Boreum Byeol!❤️
I hope the main cast won't change. Like what they did on My Girlfriend Is An Alien 2, they keep the original cast because the drama will not become a hit or popular if not because of them. People demand the season2 because of the chemistry and the great acting of the main leads. so I hope I will see ZL and RD in this season again . ❤️
Based on the synopsis, it definitely sounds like a romance. I think it's likely they'll add the romance tag closer…
As far as I remember in 'Vincenzo' genres there's no 'romance' too but actually there's a romance in the end. And for sure they will put a romance in this type of drama 😂 it will be boring if they don't, especially it's historical drama 😂
