you're definitely my favorite kdrama writer <3 thanks for giving me such a wonderful drama to watch back to back. my favorites drama all the time is ICHYV. and now i'm really into Start Up.
anyway, can i give you a little bit of my idea? i always wanted to be drama writer, but it's hard to make it in my country (we don't have big budget, and our tv dramas are sucks), so instead, i really wish with your brilliant works, you could make my idea come true.
the background story is in Joseon / Goryeo era.
there's a king, queen, and concubine. the concubine is already giving birth to a baby boy (son of the king), but the queen isn't delivered a baby yet. whe she finally pregnant with her first baby, everyone expect her to gave birth to a baby boy to became a powerful queen. the queen is a kind woman, she never really care about politics or the throne, she just happy that finally she's able to become a mom. but, too bad, her baby turn out as a girl instead. so everyone became furious, esp the uncle of the queen, who's the prime minister. On the same day that the queen gave birth, the wife of the health minister who was visiting the palace suddenly gave birth unexpectedly. Because she was in the palace environment, the process of giving birth to the wife of the health minister was carried out at the queen's palace and assisted by a palace midwife. On the other hand, fearing that power would fall to the first prince who was the son of a concubine, the prime minister had a sneaky idea of secretly exchanging the queen's child with the minister of health's son. the queen oppose the idea, she don't dare to lie to king and she don't want to exchange her daughter for someone else. but as she doesn't have power, she was forced to exchange the princess to the minister of health's son. meanwhile, neither the health minister nor his wife knew at all that their children had been exchanged that day.
too bad, less than a week after that, on his way to out of town, the wife of the minister of health was robbed, and to make matters worse, his child was kidnapped. The child also separated from the wife of the minister of health. But luckily, she was helped by the smith and then treated as the smith's daughter. The wife of the health minister who felt that her child was missing from her side was very sad and after that always locked herself in the house while trying to find her child. Elsewhere, the queen who heard about it was very shocked because she knew that the child who was kidnapped was not the daughter of the wife of the minister of health, but her daughter. Since then, she hated herself so much that she let her child be exchanged for someone else's. she also never loved the minister of health's son who grew up as a crown prince.
the main story is about the princess who grew up as the smith's daughter, the crown prince that actually the minister of health's son, and the son of the concubine. the princess eventually went to the kingdom but in disguise as a boy, because she want to be part of the palace military. meanwhile the crown prince grew up arrogant and cold as he never get love from the queen. and the concubine's son grew up as the kind, smart, inteligent prince who's always compete with the crown prince.
I would love to see her work with Lee Bo Young again, instead of her doing small cameos in her dramas! ICHYV is…
ikr i really want to see LBY again T__T but seems like she already old enough right now as the main lead for romance drama, and she probably focus more as mothers and wife of Jisung.
It was not Ji Pyung's letters. It was Ji Pyung and Grandma's letters. I agree he deserves to find love and happiness.…
it is Ji Pyung's letters. at first, he wrote it with grandma, but i believe that later on, it's him who wrote it by himself. yes, it's not necessarily have to be with Dal Mi, but Dal Mi should know that the one who wrote her letters is not Do San, but Ji Pyung and grandma.
well although now i basically sense that Dal Mi would definitely end up with Do San, i just wish the writer would give Ji Pyung happiness. atleast, let him show his true self while she's with Dal Mi, let her know that he's the one who supporting her through her childhood, so they could became a good friends instead. let him take the credits he should get. i love Do San but one thing that irritated me is just he's taking all the credit from ji pyung's letters. that's not fair.
Ji Pyeong though, he's indeed miss his chance, and if Dal Mi end up choosing Do San, it's apparently started because his own fault too (let someone else taking the credits of his past). but i could sense why he didn't want to tell her that he's the one who wrote the letter. since childhood, Ji Pyeong had such a lonely life. i feel like he don't want to feel attach to anyone else, just to protect himself. he's scared being left alone again. maybe deep down, he traumatized of how his own parents left him to orphanage, and then the orphanage also throw him away. it feels like he trying so hard to not trust anyone. not even the grandma that really care about him. he feel grateful to her, yet he don't want to feel attach to her. and now he's scared about his own feeling to dalmi, that's why he tried his best to denied it. he probably slowly fall for dalmi, but didn't want to end up rejected (and left again), so he act like he don't need her and don't like her.
Nam Joo Hyuk's character as Nam Do San is amazing. i'd totally fall for him if only the writer don't confuse us…
your opinion is on point, and i also agree with that. but regardless, why it's the 2nd lead who has back story? ofcourse we'd all be confused in the end. some who are more into back story (like me), would def choose Ji Pyeong. while the one who see NJH as the lead would def choose NJH. i mean, we're all not wrong in this. it's just that the writer really confused us.
I'm starting to feel bad for nam joo hyuk, he's really good at potraying nam do san, nope more like perfectly…
Nam Joo Hyuk's character as Nam Do San is amazing. i'd totally fall for him if only the writer don't confuse us with this first love thing. you know, in I HEAR YOUR VOICE (writer's another drama that i love so much), the male lead is someone who keep his love to the female lead for such a long time. and that's what makes me really into the story. and in here, the writer make similar back story BUT they make the guy in the back story as 2nd lead. T__T i don't understand why. it makes me so confuse, cause i already really into the letter's love story.
exactly! i was so frustrated seeing him missed another chance, then ML gets the kiss.... totally almost dropped…
honestly, i felt like HJP used to be alone. it feels like he don't trust anyone, even the grandma that really care about him. he don't want to be hurt, so that's why he don't want to feel attach to anyone. and now he's scared about his own feeling to dalmi, that's why he tried his best to denied it. HJP is truly a pitiful person imo. he probably feel traumatized that his own parents left him to orphanage, that's why he act tough and act like he could be happy and success by his own. but facts, 1) grandma's care who touch his heart, feeling like someone actually care about him, 2) he slowly fall for dalmi through her letters, but didn't want to end up rejected if she knows the truth.
seriously although NDS is really kind, i still wish happiness to HJP T__T
i'm Han Ji Pyeong supporter, but sadly after watching eps 7, i have to say that Do San has more probability to be with Dal MI T____T Ji Pyeong is too late, he lose all his chance to Do San. Dal Mi slowly more into Do San than him huhu
there's one thing that i just wonder : why In Jae really hate Dal Mi? she's her own sister afterall. no matter how much i'm annoyed with my sister, i would never want to crush her. i could understand the reason Dal Mi hate In Jae, but not vice versa, since Dal Mi isn't the one who start all the sibling hate relationship. it's probably have anything to do with her mother and her step dad.
honestly, it's probably between : 1) the guy developer who greet Do San at Sand Box, or 2) Yong San. since he's too kind, it's wouldn't be weird if maybe he secretly have a motive to join namsan tech with do san.

it's probably have anything to do with her mother and her step dad.
