Thanks for getting me! I thought I was the only one. Tbf it didn't really match his character from my perspective. Also, I still wonder what would have happened had they gotten married and Su Ci had been released. Would it be a Moon Lovers sort of situation or what. Oof! I'm way too invested in it.

It may seem a little weird but I really couldn't stand ep 17. I know that Prince Qi was marrying the Princess to save Su Ci but, idk I did hate how he seemed to enjoy the company of the Princess a little too much. For that episode, I didn't really even but into the humor. I mean it could just be me approaching that time of the month but idk. It felt off.

Tbf even this 'cutesy' aesthetic would be tolerable if the characters weren't downright braindead and simply one-dimensional. Or at the very least, they could just make the descriptions match the actual characters.

The entire show has to be a comedy at this point. I'm struggling to take any of the characters seriously.

We're just 10 episodes in, so it's a bit too early to judge. But so far it's pretty fluffy.

You can watch 'Hyena'. The leads aren't anything like Mary Sue or Gary Stu, but very competent at their jobs although with a very questionable moral compass.

Honestly, the last few episodes were such a letdown for me personally. The writers did the character growth of Zhao Fanzhou dirty. Breaking up with Zhao Xiao after finding about the genetic test results was a cop-out IMO. Why can't we ever see two leads ever communicating properly? What left me even MORE disappointed was how reluctant he was at the prospect of winning her back. Like boi,
didn't you say that you love her ? It started off great, but became disappointing as the story progressed. Smh.
