Yeah, I like him too. He’s very playful...in the novel, He is FL biggest crush and stole her first kiss. He’ll show up here and there, but has a tragic ending in the end of the novel. Not sure what his ending will be like in the drama.

I agree dramas are running out of ideas, they’re mediocre and bored to follow. If it’s not for Yukee and Yunxi, I’d have not continue. I think both are very decent actors, with Yunxi being more experience and charismatic, Yukee still have room for improvement. You barely can find a good Chinese actor in recent dramas, they all look the same and act mediocre. I hope the movie industry gets more picky with the cast and story, or else all their hard work and preparation go down the drain. I think the story falls short from Yunxi and Yukee acting. I hope they can both film another drama with better plot.

I didn’t like the story in the beginning neither, but grow to like it. It’s straight forward and simple, but has many realistic moments. It’s lighter to watch compare to other highly conflicted dramas. I decided to continue for the ML love story. Their chemistry is great.

Yeah, FL father became gay after he practiced the kungfu. I don’t remember the novel mentioned too much of FL mother. I read the convert version, but if I get the details right, FL mother is related to second FL. They are half sister.

I read the convert version in Vietnamese. It is online. Not sure about the English version. I feel their love in the drama is subtle. Their love in the novel has more struggles, but very intense and passionate. Novel has a climax, and many rising points. By far, script writer made things go too easy in the drama. It is like the entire different plot. I just watch the drama to support the cast, but don’t expect too much from it - director and script writer is not as strong for this drama, due to budget I guess. But the casts are enjoyable to watch. Leo is great, but I think Yukee can do better with a more complex role. Seems like she has the same character as the girl in Love Lasts 2 Minds. She did great in Dragon Sabre though. I like Yukee, but would like to see her break out to do more complex role. She has potential!

Yes, FL is naive, but not weak. She’s sheltered all her life until the age of 16, that’s when she began to go out in the world and met ML, who is experienced and a womanizer. Her character will develop over time and her martial art will improve. So far Yukee has done a decent job with her acting. Leo is just exceptional. Plot is ok, don’t expect too much because it focuses more on their love story, I am enjoying their chemistry so far. The plot in the novel is much more exciting. I feel like the director and script writer could have done a better job.

In the novel, they are lovers (gay couple).

The FL does not die in the novel, but they change the plot 60% for the drama. The characters and personalities are pretty much the same, but I can barely recognize the plot. It’s like I am watching another story. I enjoy Leo and Yukee acting, but I enjoy the plot in the novel more.
