This a good drama after a long time...but I am curious about why did they breakup and why did his dad didn't search for him if he even kept his room the same...and slightly useless information but who was the real dad in biological sense..anyways this was a good drama for me

But then again he is not perfect and all..humans I get it Then they start dating..which had no hiccups due to friendship, Iike that transition was abrupt..he starts to throw a fair bit of cringey stuff but okay Just the way they handled all the romantic stuff And all of this is just on the story writer's part...actors were really good

yes that would have made an interesting story....and also i think the love xiaoyao wants is beyond the point of man and woman or romantic sort of relationship i guess...she has been abandoned so much and been through so much that she needs a constant companion rather than a passionate love...tushan jing is kind and put her before but boy is too kind for his own good...you know as they say everything is fair in love and war...he should have been a bit cunning if you know what i mean..but then again xiaoyao liked him for that kindness itself
Boy... did cang xuan bro zoned himself too hard and used xiaoyao as a leverage too much...i think he would have had a chance if he made his feelings known early cause xiaoyao literally trusted him so much and never left his side..she doubted atleast briefly all the other male leads but never cang xuan....but then again he was embroiled in political warfare so maybe it's not safe and then again she wanted a man who stays loyal forever and never abandon her But cang xuan was the interesting character for me ...If we keep aside if he is right or wrong or if he is a good partner for xiaoyao...i think his character is made such a way that i can sort of get why he is doing the stuff he is doing...same with xiang liu ..he is a complex character too...he has his responsibilities and duties to pay back to his adopted father Though not bad but the only cookie cutter or ideal character here is Tushan jing...but maybe he is the one xiaoyao needs because of the stuff she is been through everyone loved her in their own way i guess
