I'm 100% with you in this opinion. Moreover, the father's character was pushed aside and that pisses me off. I wanted to know more about him and his reasons.

There is a big hole in this story, for me at least...
1. What the heck is the motive for DHS's father murders? Why he did this? And how exactly he killed all these victims?
2. What happened to their mother? They just said she left the father and their children. It sounds unrealistic to me, based on what she knew about her own husband... And hardly, he would let her go anyway...
