Even the baddies taking their money was not really a win, because thanks to that, Hae In's family got a taste of the real world and turned out better than they were before and the leads got even closer and more in love, so at the end of the day, the evil guys lost with that as well..

I understand what you're saying. People wanted more fluff and they got too much angst. I personally enjoyed it because of how insane the leads acting is. If we had some average actors as the leads, it wouldn't have worked for sure..

Are they though? Eun Seongs only stated goal is Hae In and she rejected him brutally at every corner while his mother's goal seems to be having his affection, something that he clearly doesn't at this point. He cares more about Hae In (in his own twisted way) than whatever his mother has cooking..

It's ok. This is a love story about Hae In and Hyun Woo, not Eun Seong. He can try whatever he wants, it's not gonna work in the end..

It's not that they're "allowing" her though, they can't just throw her out at this point without court proceedings and that's gonna take time. I feel like some people, like the OP, are confusing frustration with "bad writing". Just because they don't like some plot points, doesn't mean it's "bad writing". Everything up until now makes sense. It didn't just happen out of nowhere..
