16 episodes in and this show is just pissing me off. I'm trying to make it to the end.
Edit: Okay I've finally finished and I want my 25 hours back. This was recommended to me countless times as being the best of the best K-dramas. How Sway?!!! HOW?!! This series was ridiculous and so infuriating. The most likable characters were Arrogant Bae's sister, Fighter Bae and the Secretary. The FL lead made A LOT of foolish decisions bouncing between Arrogant Bae and Broody Bae.. They dragged out that one plot troupe for like a bazillion episodes, then when arrogant bae got into that accident, I said "if this son of a bitch wakes up with amnesia." Guess what? He did. They then repeated the SAME troupe until the very end.
Now don't get me started on the supporting characters. Broody Bae was did so wrong. Like I didn't really get SLS with him, but he was a cool dude and was literally there for her every step of the way. They met first, shared her first kiss, her first "walking into the toilet and catch me pooping". Like they literally had the sweetest moments throughout the show, but nope, "I'm so stuck on AB that I gave up my first love because he was also stuck on his first love and he needed to be let go.". Or something like that.. (I stopped caring) Pottery Bae was kinda sweet, but still a douche. I cringed when FL's best friend kept chasing him until she finally went fuck it.. They left Fighter Bae asexual AF and I swore to God at one point he was going to get with Pottery Bae. FL's family was the worse, but still very sweet, especially her little brother. I get it, you want a good life for your kids but man the Mom... The mommmm.... It was just about money with her, then the Dad kept putting himself in debt which led to the FL taking on all these roles that nearly killed her countless of times to support her and her brother. Speaking of her, this girl SUFFERED!!! Bullying, almost sexual assult... TWICE!! Kidnapping, attempted murder, broken shoulder and STILL stayed around those F4 guys? Nah fam, after the first egg throw I would be like deuces. Now the bane of my existence. Arrogant Bae's MOTHER. Holy crap this woman was evillllll. All for the sake of money, power and saving face, while all at the expense of her children. Then we're suppose to feel bad at the end for her because tears finally fell from those witchy looking brown eyes? Hellll noooo... Now the other villians.. Those three musketeers girls from the school were laughable so I'm not even going to bother with them. The fiancé who was like the female version of Arrogant Bae and like a better version of FL....I really liked her. I honestly was rooting for them to be together and have bad hair perm kids with arrogant attitudes. With the constant back and forth of AB and FL, I just got tired of them. Also if FL lead kept refusing to tell AB how she really felt, did she really expect that man to stick around? (Even though he literally stuck to this annoying chick like glue) Then the random girl that came in at the end and inserted herself into the situation. WTF??!! Did the writers like hate us?!!! Honestly the friendship was the BEST thing about this show. I loved how F4 just accepted these girls into the group and just protected them and I also loved the strong bond between these guys.
Anyways, rant over, happy ending bla bla. Sidenote: Arrogant Bae's perm, Broody Bae's Justin Beiber haircut and the HORRIBLE picture quality on those "expensive" phones also pissed me off.. Man 2009 was wild. PS: What the heck was the point with the Dad in a coma and having the FL around him? I honestly thought he was going to wake up and fix his evil wife then tell Arrogant Bae to marry FL or sign over the company to her or whatever. But nope, we get a glimpse of him at the end with her and we just have to assume after he woke up, they all had this big revelation talk and live happily ever after.
These writers need to stop giving me Wayu and Thanu if they're not gonna commit!!! Jack and Koh are a hilarious mess. My MarkKit heart is happy. LOL, THEY HAVE COUPLE EVERYTHING I- PS: I legit want their couple watches.
When Type's boss got his comeuppance, it felt GOODDD!!! You did great Doc!! You deserve all the Champ love. Fiat is officially the worse. Thanks, I hate it. Leo needs to stop enabling his spoiled ass and just walk away. I really doubt that was Tharn at the end.
Okay, but Sister Fan's plot twist was random AF! Didn't see that coming. Then the whole thing with Nam!!!A new player has entered the game!!!The plot thickens!!! Also that random scene at the end. LOL!! I can't when these two flirt!!!!! I love my domesticated sons!!!! Inspector M in uniform is just...umm...He's like a tall glass of water. But I get anxiety thinking that if he ever has to run or bend over in that uniform it would just explode off of him like the Hulk.
Interesting that this was rated G. Anyways. this movie was 99% Archery and 1% of the ML obsessing TF out over the FL with some nice steamy scenes. This is actually my first straight J-drama that had proper kisses. I was impressed. Also, I felt no attraction between the leads. It was just: Him- "Me like you. LOVE ME! Her- "Okay, I like you too. I WILL LOVE YOU. "Then it just.....ended.... Meh.
Finally checking this out. Heard a lot of mix things. But ya'll gave me a show with Chimon, Ohm, Nanon and Frank and expect me to pay attention to the storyline? Okay....
Okay first, the casts looks so YOUNG!!! Like babies!! But then when I looked at their ages, the ML is the youngest out of the bunch and I'm just like woah!!! Female Lead is cute, but I have the biggest girl crush on Yue Shen and she made that character her own. Still love the male best friend with the glasses. He was my favorite person in the Chinese version too. Still not over Wu Bo Song, so this one will take a little getting used to. Okay, now that I'm over the comparisons, I thought it was cute so I'll see how it goes. This is the first episode after all. They pretty much packed a lot that happened in 45 mins from the original, in 20 mins with this one.
Man, this show had you going "WTF" every 10 mins. It's like the writers asked the director how many plot twists do you want and he just went "Yes!" So many twists and turns and revelations til the very end. It was like a combination of Abyss and Korean Odyssey. While Abyss had the better ending, Black's ending was just WHAT THE HOLY FUCK WAS THAT?!!! But I kinda like it. It was sad and sweet at the same time. Honestly this show was so good. I really love the crime genre in Korean dramas. I loved that EVERYTHING was connected. Even the random scenes from the first episode came full circle in the end.. Gosh, argh!! I'm still not over that ending!!!! Okay, time for me to simp over the guys. Hoen Sung is sexy as Hell!!! My gosh, he gave off such daddy vibes. Even his fighting choreography was sexy.. The guy that played Leo was delicious too. And that's it. This is a good 18 hours spent.
Meh, this was alright I guess. Nothing happened. I thought something was... But it didn't so yea. It's just an easy little BL with an amazing OST. Didn't feel a connection to the characters either, so I wasn't invested in this one.
I found this episode simply hilarious because it was the same nonsense I see everyday on American TV.. It felt like I was watching American Pie. Also, it was a Na centric episode so I'm satisfied. Three episodes left and they seemed to take a step back from Ton's development again. Just admit you have feelings for your Bro so we can move on from all this. Oi!
