I love second chance romances and this was it. I remember reading the webtoon and dropping it halfway because Jun was always in his head and pissed me off with how he misinterprets everything, so I never really got around to the happy ending.
But I really enjoyed this and might pick up the webtoon again. This was Jun&Jun and Our Dating Sim combined.
The acting was well done. Hwan was my favorite. I didn't hate it and surprised the rating's so low.
Now see, China can do BLs because this was pretty good, but they're over there just trippin.
Yes we got the kisses, but in censorship fashion where they pan off the camera, but you clearly felt the love between these guys especially the painter main leads.
The actor that plays Qin is such a cutie. Especially when he's rocking that beenie and hoodie!!!!
Loved and hated the ending. Loved they found each other again, hated that we didn't get closure in getting to see them clearing up the misunderstandings.
This was great. The good guys won, the bad guys got their comeuppance. It was perfect, even though it had a few little stumble blocks in the last two episodes that I didn't like.
Arm & Arc Their love story was fun, sweet, chaotic and entertaining. Arm is an alcoholic and Arc needs to book his husband into AA. Arm had the best, friend group and their antics always made me crack up.
Gun & Yotha Their love story was cute, sexy and somewhat calmer. PerthSanta were a great decision in pairing. They had great chemistry.
Faifa & Wine Their love story was maybe a combination of all the couples. They really left the best couple for last. Faifa is THAT guy. He's just so charming. Junior did a great job with his character.
Side Couples Pond & Sand They really gave us nothing with them. Half the time you forget they're even there unless the group gets together. Something just felt so off about that pairing. Also, Marc can't act. He just felt so awkward in his scenes unlike the other guys who seemed like they were into it.
Jet & Pun They were the het couple and cute when they were on screen. I still LOVE that the camera always keeps Fluke's dimple in frame. They've been doing it since My Ride. 🤣
Klao & Wa I WOULD LIKE GMMTV TO STOP PLAYING IN MY FACE WITH AOUBOOM AND FINALLY GIVE THEM THEIR LEAD IN A MATURE BL SO MY BOYS CAN FLOURISH!!!!! STOP MAKING THEM SUPPORT!!!!!
Conclusion, if you're looking for a funny romance with lots of kisses and the GMMTV boys being chaotic, then watch this and We Are. It pretty much feels like one REALLY long show if you watch them back to back. Also add in Fourever You if you want to keep it going.
Honestly, when they got back and no one believed them, I would've told society to fuck off and wait out the 7 months when shit hit the fan.
Anyways, this was a GOOD binge. It hooked you in from the first episode. It's a mixture of LOST and Manifest if it happened on a train. There was little to no romance. The bromance was bromancing. Also, I see people talking about a love triangle. There really wasn't. Gym teacher liked the firefighter at first. Firefighter had a woman at home that he liked and had no interest in gym teacher. The hairdresser liked the gym teacher, but kept pushing her to the Firefighter. Firefighter only used gym teacher to get hairdresser to not give up.
This had me until the last episode where they decided to throw in the mix up amnesia plot after everything was resolved. In the Japanese version, it was Kurosawa who had the amnesia.
Anyways, I liked the Boss in here. He was toned down and less annoying. There were a lot of significant changes like giving Boss a daughter, killing the wife, having Newyear fall for Chi, etc, etc, but it still had that over the top hilarity charm.
I had to get used to Earth being an idiot though. That threw me for a loop, but then I got over it.
😠They had poor Mixx marry in that untailored, oversized brown mess of a suit.
Right, so this was word for word Marry My Husband remake/adaptation with a $20 budget and a camera, but it was actually pretty good. Didn't hate it. 7.5/10
What a chaotic and bloody second season. The flashbacks almost did it in for me....almost. But what a ride!!!! All of my characters are alive and well...some at a cost, but ah well.
