according to me I feel that Asuka was the 8 year old girl who was murdered..in the post credit scene they showed the news paper changing into Asuka's name as the girl who was murdered in the amusement park.. as far as I remember there was a scene in the library where her kindergarten friend takahiro was about to say something about the time he visited the amusement park with Asuka's family..but he is then interrupted/stopped by Asuka.. so I assume she was murdered during their visit to the park..as for the body search thing..I think it might be a game to find Asuka's body..the news and articles used to say that all body parts have been found but the girls head isint found..so she is not in peace as her head is missing..in the end she puts the head in the coffin and says "you are not alone anymore"..she has made friends who helped her thus she says to herself u are not alone anymore..(the friends she made are probably her hallucinations or something i.e not real) I feel so because in the end only the male lead i.e takahiro remembers Asuka as he must be the only one who knows her in real life or the only real friend she had..this is my view on the movies ending.. also I tried to think of the other ending explained in the comments where they are saying it's a tag game where Asuka has become the victim..it doesn't make sense to me..if she became the victim how come they are back to the college with Asuka and takahiro remembering each other?..it should ve new group of students trying to find Asuka's body.. but they showed a bit of happy ending where Asuka had it all..the love..the friendship of her friends and everything and she wasn't alone anymore..just like how she wanted her life to be..so i still agree with my perspective of the movie's ending 🤷♀️

ight after I read some manga spoilers and I let the movie sink into my mind I think the ending don't make sense…
I'm not sure I might be wrong..but I like to assume that the news paper which showed some girl murdered in vacation house changes to the original newspaper..i.e Asuka is the girl who was murdered..there is a scene in the library where he kindergarten friend takahiro is about to say something about when he went to the amusement park with Asuka family but then he is interrupted or stopped by Asuka.. so I assume she was murdered during their visit to the amusement park..as for the body search..I think it's all asuka's hallucinations to finding her dismembered body and making friends so she isint lonely again..in the last scene when she puts the head in the coffin..she says "you are not alone anymore"...the school life the friends and the time with them..might be what asuka always wanted but couldn't get..so in such a way she fulfilled her wishes
unless a sequel emerges i'm electing to ignore the after credits scene because wtf it makes no sense

that is not how time travel or loopholes work...when the time is changed..nd the people who donot belong to the time space enter the timeline...many things change..things related to them nd around them..they change..so i guess when xiaoqi travveled back through a loophole in space..the story changed a bit..i think it's good this way..so that no one has to be seen heartbroken or in pain...also..in the first season in episode 1..they dont mention that her original form is a turtle..it is mentioned that when they both fall in the water..xiao bu gets eaten by a turtle..that is why she is a baby turtle..also i would like to suggest u to watch the "the eternal love" series..it has got season 1,2,3...u can skip the 3..but watch till season 2..it will show u how time travel works nd u will really understand the pros nd cons of time travel..this drama helped me understand time travel better..have fun watching :)
