I see that some people judge YY, but I can't judge him. I can only imagine how heavy it isto have to take care of so many creatures and be a lord. Not being able to fall in love and always being cold and distant and strong. He suffers from falling in love and not being able to be with the one he loves, and despite his efforts not to hurt the one he loves, he ended up hurting her so much (too painfully). I know he did the best he could. He did his best to prevent Yan Dan from getting punished with the punishment of love and even though it hurt him, he sent her to the mortal realm, where she wouldn't be in danger and wouldn't even have to live with bad and evil people . Many things went wrong and they both got hurt, but I don't hate him and I don't think he's a coward, within that context he couldn't act recklessly, he's a deity and any carelessness on his part could cause Yan Dan's death or his own .

I believe he did the best he could in that situation, he couldn't assume the love he had for YD without condemning her to the worst of punishments, pushing her away was the way he found to try to save her. In the end causing both suffering, but he managed to give her the chance to live in a better place, away from false and treacherous people.
