Who the hell is the sound director of this drama. Many scenes have background sounds that is so out of place. It doesn't match the mood of the scene. The scene is very emotional yet the background audio sounds very funny and comical. Gosh!!! And the camera works too is so awful. I love the plot so far but the BGM/BGSFX and some cameraworks are awful!!!

Everything you said was already obvious since that very scene when they saved Ghost Hand assassin plus when Lu Zhong picked up Lu Zhi and he lied about LYB's orders. It's obvious.
Even if Lu Zhong's plan failed (on using Lu Zhi inheriting the wealth), he still has tons of GOLDEN back up. You'll get this and my comment above once you see episode 12.

Zhong did not even foresee this nor able to defend himself, this already shows that he trusted Lu Zhi and treated like his own son already. My heart aches for these 'villains' because they had a rough life BUT i would never see this as an excuse to justify their crimes T_T dangg
one of the best dramas ive seen with good resolution and explanation of the main conflict and its origins. super underrated. those who dropped it missed a lot of fun.

i recommend you watching the prequels. and also i think there is a thread online showing side by side update of the recast so you can familiarize right away with the characters played by new actors.

Qian is an evil spirit? wasn't it Qian who possed the body while refusing to kill the deers? why can't an evil spirit kill those deers? when Xuan was being whipped by his father and collapsed, Yan took over and said "Qian it is not your fault".
