Thoughts on VegasPete EP13: (initially just wrote this for myself but then I wanted to share so here it is)I was…
Late bc yesterday was absolutely chaos irl, but I'm here for it >grabs coffee.
It is very interesting how Pete’s tattoo mirrors his mindset in life, so I totally agree with what you said. Dying in the name of duty is for Pete a good alternative and heroic. What makes me think maybe Pete wants to save himself bc he knows he is not that good, maybe in his mind he is on the villain side of the story. Porsche’s heart is lighter I guess than Pete’s, so even if he had a shitty life and problems he does see the bright side bc he has the light. Pete seems to put on an act/mask. IMO your analysis of Pete is on point, his dynamics of power with Vegas are delightful. I guess he tries to see the good in everyone to help himself along the way. I’m not even sure Pete made a conscious decision to stay, but yeah, maybe he couldn't help but care about that messy person before him. He wanted to die bc he was broken. I also agree about his purpose, he feels that to live for duty and his family/friends is still his best option. The thing is, his own heart, his feelings for Vegas. I can’t wait for ep 14 to show Pete's resolution, like, what is gonna make him choose Vegas, will we have more conflict? Death no, but I want conflict! “I want to see more of Vegas’ intellectual gentleness coupled with his ability to empathize whilst also retaining what makes him who he is.” Girl, me too!
Lovely as always!!! May our wishes come true on sat! <3
Here is why I don't want an ambiguous ending for VP for S1:Vegas biggest mistake was trying to take away what…
I love how you describe his job, bc so sad so true. I wonder not even Pete knows himself, I love how the series made it clear for me how Vegas sees through Pete and that he makes Pete feel both human and inhuman like you mentioned. 🥰 I also want them to end up together, if not physically, at least sorting out their feelings.
Damn when this series ends I might also come back to the comment section just for posts like your short stories and analyses like this.
great analysis, I think similarly but do u think Kim is motivated only by his selfishness or that he loves his…
I have many, but I made peace with most (except for >>> vegas telling his men not to hurt pete, pete taking off that badge scene. pls drama gods, hear me)
