I agree and I love that, I was talking to sm bf today like, how reading the novel I did not get very well how Pete held all the power, I felt there was an inbalance although we lived in his head.
In the series, both characters have more layers, but while Vegas took a more expected turn (I mean those who liked him from the novel already considered him a marshmallow inside sometimes), Pete became a whole new thing, or a deeper thing. And I loved that. Ep 10 the first time I watched made me shout and get mad when he started laughing at Vegas and that minute I understood, I knew nothing about him. I mean, he was too good in the novel, almost like an angel for a head bodyguard. So I thank the series very much for Pete, for his dark side. It shook me, then made me a Pete stan too. This is mafia after all...
