I have to say I'm slacking off on my manga reading, but diligently I've only been reading Kono Oto Tomare, Akatsuki no Yona, Rurouni Kenshin Hokkaido Arc and SpyxFamily. How about you?
I'm also curious bc they said the other couples would still appear in the other parts, so I wonder how we will see Pan and Nott. :)))
series > when they meet after pete escapes and Pete refrains for touching Vegas face as he breaks down novel > when Vegas (that piece of shit in the novel) asks Pete if he could choose him

I am an avid (I guess less avid nowadays) manga reader and most of the BL/Yaoi stuff is toxic to say the least.
I agree with you too, they dealt with something SO serious SO lightly! It was that attempt, how come Nott coming as the saviour would suffice to make Pan feel better? When Pan disses on Nott, he cries in the corner and faces Nott with a less emotional face, there I thought he showed his true feelings, so no need for the saviour thing to make their feelings grow. Hopefully next week we will have him bring the much needed chaos.
This series is better than I expected. They even showed a twitter spaces in ep 4, toxic things always happen on those, so they are aware of the controversies online. It is a step forward, I'm really interested in the last story too, on how they will deal with a married ML.
The way I'm disappointed in Nott. I need a deep explanation of it all.😭
Idk either, I'm not even sure he has one... I didnt trust Nott at first, but from the last 2 eps I rly thought he liked Pan. They weren't exclusive so maybe that was from before? In the preview we see a shaken Nott, maybe he will still help Pan? I just want Pan to be in a good place, with Nott or not.
I wrote this analysis for fun and just wanted to share so here it is :)As you probably know already, this series…

While I fell in love with BLs and love the romance, I can’t deal very well with the fanservice and the need to ship the actors. The assigned stereotypes (to angelic one and the strong one ugh) are definitely heteronormative and I always ask myself if we even have to know this. I wish someday lgbtq+ characters would be portrayed by such actors, with no need for them to hide their sexuality. I know there are many cultural aspects involved here too.
Pan is so unlikeable, only through his pain I got to sympathize with him. I don’t think however that he has ever seen Nott as an extension of himself, but always as someone lower than him or even disposable, that is why imo he wouldn’t admit and allow himself to rly connect with him nor saw him as a threat. Pan was too high on himself before, now he lost his ground.
It’s ironic indeed that they are mocking the fetishisation with more sex scenes and relying on BillySeng good chemistry. This part was definitely not well addressed if the intention was to rly criticize it (not sure if it rly was tho bc I think the will use this in the other stories too).
