Yeah i can understand you i was confused too when i saw that mark forgive him that fast but actually they messed up everything in the series, in the novel it took 10 chapters for mark to forgive vee cause he was truly broken but vee was regretting what he done and he didn't give up until he made mark forgive him but they deleted most of these scenes in the mini series which made it doesn't make sense, that's why I'm happy that they'll retell veemark's full story from the beginning in the upcoming full series cause the short one ruined the novel literally. For the rape scenes i also hate it so much and it need to be stopped cause it's not romanticat all and no can accept it! especially that it was very aggressive and awful in this novel i mean vee tortured mark badly that's why i hope they won't include it ): . Oh believe me i hate cheating more than anything that's why i got really annoyed when i watched the mini series for the first time and saw vee kissing ploy but i read the novel cause i felt that there's something wrong as if something is missing so i wanted to know what happened exactly and let me tell you, that really helped me to kinda understand vee's behaviors in better way (but not for the r*pe scene ofc i still found it weird and has no meaning ,hope they won't include it on the series) anyway let me explain to you. Vee and ploy were dating for more than 2 years, their relationship was so good and they loved eo so much but then their hearts started to change and all of this drama happened. When vee told mark that he loves him he wasn't lying at all and he didn't meant to cheat on him when he kissed ploy he was just still attached to her, he couldn't forgot easily that they had a nice relationship in the past so when she asked him for a last kiss he couldn't refuse cause she's still important to him even though he don't love her anymore but he's kinda weak when it's related to her. ( p.s. I'm not saying that his behavior was right I'm totally against it but i just wnated to let you understand what was he thinking about). To answer your question, yes vee apologized to mark but mark didn't accept his apology so he did literally everything to make mark forgive him which made me believe that he truly loves mark! I can assure you that when these episodes come where vee is trying to make mark back to him you'll cry cause it's really heartbreaking but what's most important that they got thier happy ending after all! I agree with you it's truly kinda toxic but if you read the novel you'll see how their relationship will be more healthier by the time and vee's character will improve ALOT(especially in the second book of the novel though i don't think they'll add the second book in the series but i just wanted to inform you) so yeah don't worry about that toxicity thing i can guarantee that it's gonna be great and hopefully they'll change the problematic scenes
