I know, right!? honestly i am surprised by Off's acting , i was always on the fence with his previous series,…
i didnt watch ToL just for the reason that his character was pathetic.. and i couldnt tolerate the idea that both leads will end up together like a fairytale ... i hate redeeming arcs .... humans rarely can be changed ( thats how much i lost faith in humanity)
It's official now. i'm an OffGun fan. Especially Off ... the guy is so chill and intense at the same time.
I know, right!? honestly i am surprised by Off's acting , i was always on the fence with his previous series, as he was always outshined by Gun's performance... But THIS... Is of another level....Their chemitry is sizzling and their emotions are on point. I AM OBSESSED
It is fascinating apparently to be one of the few people on MDL who think this series is terrible, especially…
I would say this series is good, overrated but not terrible... I watched it for the novel and Ohm and i stayed for the chemistry and the lighthearted vibe and i'm getting annoyed by the unconsistency of the plot, and the PPL.
I would recommend you watch Not me the series it's soooo good, i bet you would like it and i am curious qbout your opinion. If so, see you there in the comments section lol
This is only my own impressions/thoughts and theories after rewatching ep 1 of NOT ME:
- Both mother and father are fuxxed up from the start.. If you wanna get a divorce and take one of your children w/y at least have some human decency and let them COMMUNICATE ... And the father asking White to forget about his mom and especially twin brother is provocative and equally confusing cuz we get a shot of a whole wall in his living room ornated with pictures of his TWO (not one!) sons... You are not doing a good job there making White forget about his Black, daddy! - NOW, the mischievous childhood friend TODD... This boy is a walking red flag ... His actions till now are anything but innocent, he is the definition of suspicious... Let me explain: " Your supposed childhood/bestfriend is beaten to death and lying in the ICU ffs, his mother is a JUDGE and his father an ex- AMBASSADOR (or whatever), and this is one hella of a powerful family but instead of calling and informing them of the state of their son, no .... You decide to call, and GASLIGHTE his innocent, estranged peaceful and powerless twin brother to send him on suicide mission!!! Logic has left the chat.... He is either one of the bad guys that made BLACK on the verge of death or he is a traitor that helped the bad guys... Anyway i can't wait for his true character to be revealed. - BLACK: from what the gang has described him in the first episode .... He is foulmouthed, sharp, provocative, rebellious and ambigous... And i think more revelations about his character will come to light the more we dive into the series. - Gram: i love his smile and silver hair... He is one fine man. Now! I think he is the closest to BLACK from the little interactions we had btw him and WHITE cosplaying as black. Why i think so? He wasn't afraid of approaching White (BLACK) in the uni, he talks to him as we talk to our friends, he did notice the subtle changes in BLACK's (or white) appearance like wearing a perfume, styling his hair ... Also, i'am curious if the G toy on Black's nightstand belongs to Gram ? That would be interesting. - Yok and Sean: apparently they don't really get along with Black ... Yok seemed to be annoyed by Black which is understandable if he is always criticizing him especially for his art... But Sean is a puzzle, he seems to have a complex relationshio with Black, he is furious at him and ready to fight him at times but at the same time you can't feel that he does truly hate him.. Very peculiar. I don't know ... Maybe after rewatching ep 2&3 i can make up my mind, but i wanna know what he thought previously of the real BLACK. - GUMPA, there are so many question marks surrounding this man and the biggest of them all is : WHO are you? He is no ordinary man, lurking in the shadows and sending young college students on some mission in the name of activism , and training them in matial arts and GUNS ? Well, that's normal for an activist or mechanic or whatever. - i wanna applaud the director for those beautiful close up shots of SEAN & WHITE first meeting, they really did that scene justice... The acting was on point that you can feel the sparks everywhere. - Overall this first episode may feel overloaded with some of what could be plot holes or plot knots ( it depends on what's to come), but it was a nice start for a thrilling show .
xxxx MY OVERALL IMPRESSION OF THE SERIES BASED ON THE FIRST 3 EPISODES xxxx - i'm living for the aesthetics of this series, finallyy no more skin-smoothing, white-washing beauty filters and goodbye annoying sound effects.... The scenes are beautifully shot and perfectly balanced. - The ost is so beautiful, i'm listening to it on repeat.. My family is going to disown me and ship me to thailand at this point. - The plot is edgy and thrilling the least to say for a BL themed series. Finally we are out of the engineering faculty and ready for some heavy topics like : social equity, justice and the illusion of justice, ableism, corruption and activism ... The premise of this series is intriguing enough even without the romance element at least for me. - Even though we are only 3 episodes into the series, but i believe the casting is really fitting each for his character... It's my first series watching Off & Gun, i knew Gun was and still one hell of an actor especially in those emotionally charged scenes as for Off's acting, i wasn't convinced before till i watched him in NOT ME and all my worries disappeared within the first episode. Mond as Gram is so dashing and i'm here for it... As well as First and Fluke characters .... Everyone is on point with their portraying of their characters, YOU CAN FEEL EVERY EMOTION AND READ THE VIBE OF EVERY SCENE and can we talk about THE CHEMISTRY AND THE DYNAMICS btw all of these characters ( be it romantic or not)? and all of this is only in the first 3 episodes. #talkingaboutpotential #raisingthebar
I'm rewatching the already aired episodes to catch up on the details i missed when i bingewatched those 3 episodes.. So get ready for an avalanche of comments by me. Lol
I'm excited but equally pissed off cuz we have to wait for like... An eternity 😥
I would recommend you watch Not me the series it's soooo good, i bet you would like it and i am curious qbout your opinion. If so, see you there in the comments section lol
