Guys i loved this ...Thought of sharing it : I have read the thread that says that Jipyeong is Dalmi's sandbox while Dosan is her swing and I agree with that.
Jipyeong- Her first love. The one who's always ready to catch her when she falls to make sure she will never get hurt, her savior. Her sandbox.
Dosan- The one who made her realized her dreams in life and is with her when she decided to follow her dream, her companion in her journey in achieving those dreams, even thru ups and down. Her lift/ride who pushes her up to reach her dream. The one who she can hold on to make sure she won't fall. Her swing.
After reading all the comments i have realised that most of the people are clearly only thinking from a single character's perspective be it HJP or NDS...Both characters are flawed and you can /will see them growing : HJP - He was an orphan so he doesn't know much about the feelings of being loved or taken care of...He is experiencing it for the first time and slowly opening up and only now realising .. NDS- Just like HJP ,NDS is being ambitious, in love ,jealous for the first time and he just doesn't know how to deal with it ...so he is coming across as kinda selfish but thats not the case tbh ...You can see him feeling guilt, hesitating and that he already knows he is not the one whom she likes ...He just isnt sure what to do ..No matter what he does rn its gonna hurt him /her...Continue the lie - He realises more and more that he isnt the one ...Tell the truth - ahe is gonna be hurt and He might lose her...
And Dalmi is gonna be hurt no matter what...Had the truth come earlier /later on...Neither HJP nor NDS thought it would lead to this
We are only halfway through and i feel like we will see a lot of character development...
All the previews have been misleading so atleast watch the next episode before coming to a conclusion lol
Forgot to add, remember when DS asked DM, "what do you like about me?" and all DM answered that was actually him…
"What he feels isnt real" - Thats kinda harsh but i dont think SDM would have said that he makes her heart flutter and excited if it wasnt real...just saying... Well i kinda used to think the same about him lying ....Yes Do-san did lie to stay next to her and i felt it was wrong ...but later on i gave it a thought why did a person who never was greedy in his life is doing such a thing ...I guess it was for the first time he wanted something...He wanted to turn that misunderstanding into a reality as the description says...Yea he was selfish but as he kept realising that he isn't the person or might never be the person she is gonna like he wanted to tell the truth....This is where i feel like ppl are misunderstanding ...The grandma saying to him that SDM has started to shine brightly after meeting you and she would like to see it for a little bit more time until she loses her sight .."Is it too much to ask"...This is where he decided to not tell her the truth yet even though he knows it is gonna hurt Dal-Mi later on and him even more coz i do think he likes her sincerely ...And him telling about grandma's condition is because he wants Dal-mi to spend some wuality time with the grandma before her condition deteriorates...
To talk about the kiss and hug scenes ..i kinda beg to differ because both the times it wasnt initiated by him and it was in the heat of the moment... He kinda did hesitate both the times ..Him kissing her back was coz she encouraged and supported him and i dont think thoughts like "im not the one who wrote the letters and all "would run in his mind at that time...He wouldnt have kissed her if she didnt the first time lol
One thing i respect about him is that he is being himself and not trying to be the person from the letters ....He could actually act like that if he wanted to but no he did not ....
And HJP...he is a sweet guy ...yes he is also in the wrong ..but i dont want to jump to conclusions yet about when did he actually started to like Dal-Mi ...was it during the time they were pen-pals/ After spending some time with her and how she says those qoutes, metaphors from the letters / jealousy seeing someone else take his place....I want to hear from him how he feels exactly ...xD
i kinda hate that Dal-mi is left in the dark because of their lies but it had to be done ..She wouldnt have become who she is rn(had she not recieved the letters) nor would she have joined a start-up (had she not met Do-san)...I want it to be sorted out quickly so that all the four characters have good development in the last 5 -6 episodes ...
No matter what its upto her to choose whom she wants ...and i feel like they will give us a proper reasoning to why that choice had to be made....
I am gonna be happy and hurt no matter whom she choses because i like both the leads...This is my opinion..xD
PS: I still feel like everyone (including me ) is judging their actions too quickly ...we are only half way through....Hope a proper and valid explanation will be given later on :)
I feel like the preview for ep 9 is misleading kinda ...Not sure yet... And obviously he had to get a head start coz it was paved to him by HJP....Neither of th at that point knew they would fall for the girl and both only wanted to help her out but i believe life doesent go as planned... HJP started a lie ..NDs continued with it ..NDS made up another lie ...HJP went with it....and it goes on and on... I also feel like there might come a time when HJP is so sure about his feelings he might want to tell Dalmi the truth ..might ...we never know !!!
Guys lets just chill and enjoy the drama ...The actors/writers/director are all well reputed...They do know what they are doing and im sure will give a proper reasoning for who ever ends up together ... Lets just not focus only on the romance aspect...There is some much to look forward to especially in the growth aspect and also their futures ... With the pace its going ,it soon might become one of my favourites of 2020...

Exactly...yeaa we get it that ppl are preferring HJP over NDS but that doesn't mean u hate and spread the hate over the other character ...i meam come on ..Its like ppl are not even trying to think from NDS's perspective...all they are caring about is NDS's actions are gonna hurt their favourite character later on ....Its like they have their minds fixed on whatever HJP does is right and sweet and whatever NDS does is wrong....Try to understand/think from both the character's perspective atleast...No offence but i like both the leads !!!

Hi how do you know there will be time skip in near future episodes?
Coz they showed the date saying it was 2016 ..the day Nds and dal mi recieved a message saying that they got into sandbox...so most probably there might be a time skip..

Yeaa thats true that he didn't capitalise much but we have seen the reason why he has been like that ...he just wasn't ambitious enough...i agree that he needs the lessons but in a less harsh way...I think that HJP is gonna change his attitude towards NDS after he finds out that his latest idea is to help ppl like grandma ....But rn both HJP and NDS are emotionally driven when it comes to SDM...they should kinda tone down a bit lol
