Me too. I will never trust MDL rating ever again. When people were commenting their opinions on The Flaming Heart ,I didn't care because they I could see too that the drama had many flaws. But Dream Garden is so far objectively such a good drama that I roll my eyes when I see the rating. I think its definitely on purpose. The salty ones down rate so they can maintain the narrative that "gj dramas after woh were a flop" They desperately don't want DG to be good.
The script writer recommended gong jun for this drama in February this year but found the producer had already sent him the script. That was even before WOH blew up coz it had just aired for 2 days at most. The script writer is very happy with the result already & is happy seeing the praise.

I've finished watching 2 episodes and I have to say this is so good. Its so engaging & the plot is not draggy. I love love gong jun's acting and his character Lin Shen coz he seems mysterious. Can't wait to watch more.
