Oh I saw it coming from ep 7 (I think) when the inner voice changed. We thought its going to highlight gender fluidity and stuff Lol. But we got a straight hetero romance, which I would have loved if they had done it well. Proof of the ending being shoddy is the spin off. Despite having 20+ hours to include everydamnthing, we get extra episodes to cement SY-CJ pairing. Honestly this was supposed to be watched as fluff, we expected more so our fault.
Since they showed it as a soul merge and not a possession here goes. Merge: cause to blend gradually into something else so as to become indistinguishable from it.Emphasis on indistinguishable. It was one soul that shared both their feelings and acted on their impulses as a single entity, hence So Bong. So BH soul feeling no lingering sadness from losing CJ after the very convenient demerging and travel back to his era is very sloppy writing. I judge my dramas by their progression+endings, so I'd probably judge this harshly if not for SHS and KJH. 8.5/10
