I don't mind about the plot devices otherwise we wouldn't get a hilarious blind date of the main leads. I just think 2FL is immature in handling her relationship with 2ML. She seems to have some sort of an unrealistic expectations what a boyfriend should be. You can see that when she cooked for him or their argument during hiking. I feel bad for the guy because this is probably how their relationship will be like with a spoiled rich girlfriend.

I've read the novel. Yunhe suffered a lot and so did Changyi. 😭 Both were tortured. Yes it is darker than the drama. I cried so much reading the novel. I don't mind the lighter tone in the drama just to give it many different flavors. So far, I'm enjoying the drama. Love Dilraba and Allen and they are really doing justice to the characters per their scripts.
Both Dilraba and Allen are talented. I guess you haven't seen any of the trailers so your rant about Allen not doing kissing scenes is not valid. Don't watch it then. There are many other choices out there.
