This comment is for people who just started watching this drama, you may find it a little bit slow at the beginning (so did I) so the comment bellow contain some important episodes for events you are waiting for and wondering when they will happen to help you look forward some particular episodes if you are impatient like myself, it contains some spoilers, I tried not to spoil too much.. I started getting attached after episode 11 and I got hooked completly around 20th after that it was getting better and better and never dragging or boring.
I've just finished this wonderful show it's one of my top C-Dramas now, and I didn't expect that when I started it, thanks to people's comments and reviews here , I was almost gonna say it's not my cup of tea and drop it, so happy I didn't, it's completly my type of Drama.

Wow, thank you for talling us about the different endings. Up until now I've only heard that the chinese drama had multiple endings and all of them are sad and that the novel has a happy one, so I was considering reading it, but not anymore, looks like it gonna just ruin the beautiful version of the king's personnality for me so I'll stick with the korean version, not actually expecting a happy ending (I'm preparing myself for the worst so that I don't end up with a broken heart tho a sad ending will do break it anyway even if I'm prepared) I hope that it's a good and resonable ending at least 'cause I don't know what a happy ending suppose to be (not a BL fan so I don't want it to end with a silly meeting between the king and the bong hwan in his real body.

I was just rewatching his movie "from me to you" and entered his profile to check his works and found out that he actually died this year, that's so sad. May you rest in peace.
