Really, if Techo end up with that Rapist, it would be effing messed up more than it already is. Social opinions are one thing. But choosing what's right for oneself should be more logical.

May I ask where you saw that the second season is airing in 2021? I just saw the trailer for the special episodes…
Even though it's not technically second season, it could be like Still 2gether which was also special episodes rather than second season.

Of course this is what the normal is in Thailand. Sex is something of a need like food or clothes. When it is taken aggressively from another person, which is rape, they give the same importance as someone stealing some food. The Emotional trauma faced by the victim is totally neglected.

And your point that the influence it has on youngsters is very accurate. Many will show their "love" like Tharn did to Type sweet naming it Naughty yet Charming.

Yet IMAO, whatever we see we should take it only after filtering it through our values. That's why you were able to see what Tharn did was wrong. Even if there was no such series, a character less person would take advantage of a drunk guy. They would always have their own justifications.

So basically, what the series did was projecting the current way of things without giving any "deserved" justice. Just pure bland UGLY truth. It's in our power to determine what was right and what wasn't.

I hope I make enough sense to you. And I honor your viewpoint. Thankyou for reading.

I skipped many parts because I couldn't really like it! Forst episode were awesome but second started to get boring…
I feel sorry for you cause the series is made in such a way that you can live their lives giving us deepest insights. I also felt the screen dark at times and a bit slow. But the dialogues and small notes by the lead kept me going. ? Skipping the scenes is like sliding through life not living the moments just to get to the end which will always be there.

It addressed many questions I have as a Gay guy. And it gave tight slap to Gays who believe they can cheat on his girlfriend cause he is "special case."

Gays who lives a whore life to beat off some heat making gay community's reputation at jeopardy is also addressed thoughtfully.

If you had given it 'time' which it well deserved you wouldn't have been bored. Happy living. Krap.

AHHHHH! The direction and scripting is SOOOO BAD. I'm only on Episode 3 and I'm screaming and trying NOT to throw…
Usually people like slow BL's with a warm story rather than steamy hot meaningless ones. If you're horny Jack off to some porn. IMAO

I'm actually glad that this series is getting more inputs on the controversial scenes of the show. I actually…
TBH Thailand has such a reputation when it comes to sexual encounters in other countries. In India we always hear going to Pattaya (Thailand ) is only for sex. And parents are worried about getting HIV when you plan to go there. Such a country with open mind, would feel different about sexual assault also. The mental trauma faced by the victim is same all round the world. Yet society's viewpoint is drastically different everywhere.

In India many girls and boys get assaulted. The morally right society turn up their voice with #Justicefor.

But do you know one fact? When a girl gets assaulted, this so called Indians with a clean face jack off searching for her rape video in Porn sites. Last time one girl became tending in porn sites. Remember, more than 40% of Indians searched for the victim's video.

The omnipresence of assaults in this society is depicted without empathy by the writer. It might be unrealistic for you. But can't be much far from reality when you face it for real. No one cares much when you are raped except your parents and immediate relations.

I think I made my point.

Love by Chance's rape still pisses me off... and if they don't deal with it in Season 2, I'm gonna be really really…
Yeah, Tharntype is a good series to watch and the chemistry between the cast is amazing. Yet, the way they address Rape in a romantic way is cringe worthy.

I think even gay people have a wrong idea that just because they are gay and aren't accepted well by the traditional society, having a mannerless life is alright. "Defile and make yours" is somehow appreciated by Gays. And intentional life of a whore having sex with random people. Even I did so too. This is why I can relate with The effect so much. They show how much of a bad person each of us are. I can see myself in the rapist as well as in the one getting raped.

Ok didn't mean to say this much. Doesn't feel like deleting it. ?

I stopped watching after Episode 1, I decided to read some comments, especially the Spoiler comments and I'm glad…
I didn't like it either. But that's what made it special. It was ruthless and without mercy and had no feel good message attached. Simply unfair and truthful. I would never wish to have that life the protagonist had. But I'm grateful to live his life for like 3 hours.

Title The Effect Spoiler
No wonder this series is so dark, it's based on the American movie The Butterfly Effect
The idea I got from the series is that, You're expendable. Other stories may show a closure for the viewers even with a sad ending. This one was ruthless. And I can totally resonate. When you get raped and mentally traumatized, there is no end that's more satisfying than loosing your mind or having death.

Us viewers are stepping into there life for some hours and go on our blissful life. The one who faced the trauma is in the prison of your skull cursing yourself.

Ending your very much expendable life really is the best choice and only possible one in this unfair world if you can't forget or live with it. You will only understand when you had faced it yourself.

I think the writers left it up in the air as to whether it was Keng or Shin who killed themselves at the end.…
TBH life isn't a message always. Sometimes you're just broken. And we are expendable. Shit happens. You can choose to move on. Yet, this effing brain won't forget the trauma. Sometimes you would wish to go mad and loose your mind only to feel the freedom from this memories.

Yes it's cynical and not a good series for someone with suicidal thoughts. But this is exactly what happens in a broken mind. ?
