i wrote this at night so it’s really incomplete.... but i just wanted to add that yan yunzhi and sangqi almost never doubt each other but idk if they’ll change that in the cdrama

like 1/3 of the story takes place in the imperial college while the rest is either at war, learning martial arts with her 师父 (which is also yan yunzhi and yanyan’s 师父), or forced in zhuo wenyuans palace?

yan yan is sangqis good friend and in the beginning they’re kinda archenemies but become friends later. song jiayin is rude! but i kinda feel bad for her in the ending( blame zhuo wenyuan) i don’t remember a guo cheng jun in the novel so maybe it’s a new character or i have crappy memory? there’s also su jieyu and qing xunjun(may or may not have remembered wrong) but those may have been changed?
i’ll describe zhuo wenyuan a lil bit. zhuo wenyuan is her childhood friend who tries to convince her to marry him. he’s super nice to everyone but is hiding something which is super big.

i’m reading a lot of bad comments about xu kai cheng... i don’t think yan yunzhi is a hard role to play imo. he’s the usual cold to everyone but female lead ig? yan yunzhi is practically perfect tho and good at everything. sangqi is a new role for lusi to play.. it’s not like what she usually does. the summary given only shows the first half ig? sangqi’s goal in life is to marry someone who she truly loves and not someone that her family just tells her to get married to AND be a female general like the rest of her family! so sangqi is really good at martial arts and near the middle she goes to war! zhuo wenyuan is a really complicated character so i won’t go too into detail.. (correct me if i’m wrong on any parts of the plot lol?

the description only really shows the beginning of the story, a lot of the story actually takes place at war so it’s quite different from what she’s done before! i’ve read the novel a couple of times and the storyline is pretty good!
