I am having split personalities for my bias (XL) and my bias wrecker (TJ). At the end, I'll let this drama make a way for my thoughts instead of me doing it. (If you don't want spoilers, don't watch teasers of upcoming eps!)
About the potential cliffhanger ending, I think this drama will end up somehow with a bitter-sweet ending for the S2. (I haven't read the novel and I am just speculating things) I am that kind of a person who can digest a very sad ending but can not at all accept a weird ending with some plot holes.
On the other hand, writers will definitely end S1 with the death of a sweet/kind supporting character (who obviously is not amongst our 4MLs and A Nian as they are main cast) along with a cliffhanger ending for FL's character in S1's last episode so that we will be way more curious about airing of S2 than we were excited about the first ep of this drama's S1.
Am I getting bias wrecked by TJ after watching ep 14. (My bias is XL but TJ is other worldly sweet and kind) I wanted to see the emotions of XL hidden behind his mask when he returned back to the sea after XY told him to return and further assuring that she is afraid of death and that she is waiting for him to collect the debt owed by XY. (The promise she made about owing one favor to XL after transferring the poisonous bug from CX to XL.) Even though I slightly wanted him to rescue XY from that Dragon Bone Prison, I still want to watch Haoling palace arc between XY's parents and all rollercoaster of emotions behind the traumatic past.
7/30 - 1 episode 7/31 - 2 episodes 8/1 - 2 episodes 8/2 - 2 episodes 8/3 - 8/6 (Thursday to Sunday) NO episodes 8/7 -8/9 (Monday to Wednesday) 2 episodes daily only
And from that week onwards, the episodes will air only on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesday. I don't know how I will bear this long delays between future episodes!

Oh Yes! I also noticed the same! I was wondering why they didn't gave us a brief fighting clip at that time where he tried his best to rescue XY, but was at last unable to do because of Xuan's men blocking the pathway to XY's rejuvenation hall. Anyway it is okay either way.
In Xiang Liu's Fang Feng Bei era (or maybe not), he looks equally dashing in his black hair! How can someone be so attractive and adorable at the same time with different stylings. Looking forward to it! ❤️

Moreover, I also feel these soft-subtle-healing vibes this drama gives me where I don't need to skip any moments or watch it in 2x speed like few other dramas which are rather a little bit draggy or a bit hasty without any character development. I love how it soothes my soul and makes me happy! Every character has their own sufferings, past and personality. In addition to it, all of them are just so adorable. Definitely this drama will be ranked on the topmost place in my Xuanhuan side of drama heart. YangZi is just so good at portraying different layers of her past experiences. So commendable! Her acting is superior. ❤️ XL and TJ are just so cute with those hearty eyes for the FL. Something I definitely didn't expect so soon for our Nine-headed Demon Serpent the Great Xiang Liu! 😂 Up until now CX just gives me sibling-like chemistry with FL. I am waiting for the 4thML Chi Shui Feng Long's arrival. But I guess he will have his entry once she is publicly known as a female. I want to know what he brings to this palette full of varying emotions and dreams. 😉

By doing so, the "every episode plot excitement" will plummet and it will no longer be thrilling and heart fluttering.
