Excellent acting , painful journey , direction could be better in terms of transitioning from past to present day. Watching this made me think, why does k-pop cater to Japanese crowd ? Why do they sing songs in Japanese for only Japan market after such bloody history. While the rest of the world studies korean to understand the song lyrics . Instead the korean artist can learn English and capture the whole world's market and be more accessible to people who aren't getting into it due to the work that they need to put into translation. Shouldn't Japan also learn Korean and understand korean language ,like the rest of the world ? Why give special treat to people who ones called you dogs and cockroaches ?
PS - I watched this for Lee Min Ho and I was pleased with his acting and everybody else's acting too
What a great writing , direction and acting by all actors . Omg !!! What a beautifully depicted journey of love , friendship, perspectives , growth and what the realities of life are ultimately. I was sad, but I am satisfied that the writer did not compromise with the ending to please the audience. If someone has been in a long term long distance relationship, they can draw a parallel which has been shown between the two couples and why one worked and the other didn't. Commitment is not enough, being present, puting an effort, not taking the other for granted......... People who are criticizing Heedo's character who is ultimately away from her husband for months, I will just say this- when we are younger we want it all, we expect it all and when we grown , when he have matured we are more patient and understanding. Also this is nothing against YiJin, infact he proved he loved her by understanding how much she suffered emotionally and he was rehashing her childhood pain. Letting go is the hardest thing to do. And he let go for her sake. This is what real life is . Brilliant show . I am sad too, the main leads didn't end up together after watching them for 16 episodes and growing fond of them both . But this drama has shown the hardships of a relationship and one meeting their own needs and priorities. These are strong lead characters, with the sense of self love and self worth. They also showed healthy boundaries in a relationship and how both can accept and grieve respectfully at the end of a relationship. Will miss Na Hee Do's energy !!!
Watching it for Ahn Hyo Seop since I liked his acting in business proposal, watched abyss and now this. He is a good actor. I hope he works on mor projects in the coming future.
Is it necessary that if their are three girlfriends one of them has to die of cancer? Watching this is hard after watching now we are breaking up . I wish nobody was dying in this one given the character set up is good , it was fun and engaging and no weird dead brothers ex stuff .
Woow they really pushed the envelope with this one . It's bold yet classy . Informative yet not grosse. The sets are also bright and fancy . The actors also did a great job . New content shown tastefully . I hope it is received well in S.K too.
I discovered him in Vagabond, he left an impression with is acting and screen presence . O am shocked he hasn't played a lead role yet . I genuinely hope a director gives him a lead role in an action movie or drama . He is expressive too . How on earth is he not in shows like D.P
Because of this drama I looked into North Korean defectors stories and I hope South Korean Citizens who come across them will be more kind and compassionate towards them given their struggles and dangerous journey to freedom . Upon learning the truth of North Koreans and the regime I am shaken ..I do understand why those two ( the doc and th other guy) aren't able to defect given the long term brain washing and Inability to think critically based on facts before them. More power to Park Yeon mi and other activists.
