Didn't expect this series to have quite a good story.. ichika and maki's relationship is not that kind of puppy love, both of them have this somehow mature mindset especially as their relationship grows.. i mean they think beyond their age considering they're in high school..
there are parts that I didn't like especially the teacher-student relationship but it's a jdrama so kinda saw it coming haha and also the very strict dating ban rules just doesn't make sense cause at that age, the more you restrict them, the more they're gonna do it..
wish netflix kept the original japanese title tho cause some people might skip this drama just bacause of the english title..
honestly, at first i watched it cause i became a fan of miyase ryubi and 8loom after seeing him in kimi no hana but i ended up loving all the casts cause they were so good in this series especially mikami ai! ryubi and mikami chemistry is soooo strong and felt so reaal throughout the series..
for other people who found it on netflix or were not a fan of any of the casts, they might not just watch this after seeing the title hahaha
both lead actors are so goooood tooo~ especially the FL! her expressions are always on point! she perfectly enacted the REAL difference between just being a fan and BEING GENUINELY IN LOVE with someone
Honestly I really enjoyed it and turned out to be so much better than I expected.. during the first half, it was more of a comedy rather than romance haha it's kinda cringe and weird but come to think of it there are really some fans who have wild imaginations about their idols hahaha was actually expecting for them to be together only at the end of the movie cause that's how it usually goes with jdramas haha so I got surprised when they started dating in the middle of the story.. BUT THEN THEY BROKE UP. ngl i got a bit teary-eyed when Oumi said what's the point of having this relationship if we can't understand each other.. then I laughed at myself for being so emotional hahaha
overall, it was a really good movie and worth watching.. highly recommend this one for those who enjoy fluffy light heartwarming romcom with not-so-shallow stories hahaha

Haven't been able to rewatch the series ever since it ended cause I'm not ready to go through it all over again.. hahaha but I just suddenly realized something as I keep on seeing lovrun posts in my tl.. in every timeline, Sol never really gave herself time and space to grieve.. as soon as she knew that she can go back to the past and save Sunjae, she immediately did everything she can to change everything.. without any hesitation.. without holding back.. she just ran and ran until she can finally save him.. and in the 4th timeline, we know Sunjae is alive but I feel like deep inside Sol is grieveing from a lost love but she can't show it.. she can't tell anyone about it.. so it felt like throughout the series, she's just really keeping everything inside.. the love she lost so he can live.. but THE MOMENT SUNJAE REMEMBERED EVERYTHING FROM EVERY TIMELINE, that's when I felt a sense of relief that she's not alone.. finally.. she's not all alone and she can share every moment, every memory with someone which is the love of her life.. I just thought that it was really special how it mirrors our real lives.. it's a fantasy but it shows real connection to our lives and everyone who watched it must have felt the same and was able to relate to it in a way they didn't expect to..
What a sweet, fun, thrilling, heartwarming, and joyful ride.. it's like the universe knows i'm going through a tough time right now and i feel like i'm being blessed with 2 consecutive series (have watched my sweet mobster right after lovely runner) that'll give me comfort..
I'M REALLY TRYING HARD TO MOVE ON FROM LOVELY RUNNER I EVEN MUTED ALL ACCOUNTS RELATED TO THE SERIES BUT I JUST KEEP ON CHECKING THEM ANYWAYS HAHAHA and.. I kinda hate myself for saying this but I'm also really trying hard to NOT ship them together cause once one of them announce that they're in a relationship with someone else, I feel like I might get really emotionally affected 😔😠why am I like this ðŸ˜
A DRAMA THAT HAS BECOME AND WILL ALWAYS BE A PART OF MY LIFE. Even after years have passed, memories of waiting ever since the official announcement, watching it in real-time, and seeing soljae's story unfold as they fight against their ill-fated destiny over and over again until they get the happy ending they deserve will always be seeped through my soul. I'm eternally grateful to the cast and crew the whole team behind this masterpiece. They genuinely made me happy for the past 2 months. Finally I have something I can go back to and watch whenever life gets hard.
I think I should watch ep 15 first before salon drip.. if it ends with an emotionally-wrecking scene then I can cope with it by watching their salon drip guesting
Does anyone remember what happened in ep 8 where Sol was in Sunjae's apartment and she was looking through the medicines from the kitchen countertop then Sunjae told Sol about it as he saw her getting worried. But then he stopped and skipped a medicine because I think he was really taking anti-despressant and was really struggling through mental health issues. I got confused for a moment there..
This was the timeline where they already had memories together from the past but when Sol got kidnapped and she was able to escape, she suddenly gone back to the future. And 19 yo Sol told Sunjae that she always remember the kidnapping whenever she saw him that's why she asked him to not go near her anymore.
Before writing all kinds of negative comments towards the story and the writers, please remember that we have only seen Sol's pov. We haven't seen Sunjae's pov yet which they usually show at a later episode.
100% does seem like he recognises her somewhat, whether that's because he time-travelled (THAT WOULD BE AN AWESOME…
I saw a theory where they said that the movie script that Sol submitted to her boss has the original title of the novel Lovely Runner was based on and Sol wrote it based on their love story and Sunjae will read it and this will trigger him to remember everything
