I just finished watching this and indeed the best version among all, NO CAP!!!!!!
But i kinda felt sad in the last ep and feel a lot of uncertainties because of how the way they ended it (Tho i respect it since the manga is not actually finished so they left it where it was). I feel desperate to seek for answer like what will happen to Xiang Qin because of that night blindness thing and if she is really pregnant (but i think we can rest assured she's actually pregnant now that time haha).
ALSO A FUN OR MAYBE SAD FACT!!!!!!! Based on the interview on Shigeru, the husband of the deceased author of this manga, Tada Kaoru, the character Naoki/Zhi Shu and Kotoko/Xiang Qin were really based from them, so it is like their love story in a different setting.
But then, i suddenly felt sad because this version (particularly the last ep) has like what would be the feeling of Zhi Shu when Xiang Qin disapppear from him. Just like how Shigeru feels when his wife Tada died in 1999 😥, right now Shigeru is doing good in life and not remarried someone because Tada will always be forever in his heart.
One thing that make this version unique from Itazura na Kiss season 2 is the SKINSHIP of Ariel and Joe!!! Plus they have a lot of kissing scenes, literally a lot!!! comapare to the Japanese one haha
Joe Cheng is the best Zhi Shu for me since you can see the character development and how deep his love for Xiang Qin especially on the last few eps.
The director and cast, at the time, explained the reasoning behind it, and you have to bear this into account:The…
Yeah It really sucks the manga is not finished SHHH. But if i want a piece of mind i just watch Itazura Na Kiss 2013 version since the ending of that shows their family having a stroll in the park (As i remember that scene was particularly requested by the author's husband).
Hahahahahaha watched this in 480p and now I've come to learn it's been uploaded onto YouTube in HD. Time for a…
YES!!!!! HAHAA i just finished rewatching both season 1 and 2 right after almost 13 years hahaha i'm really glad they uploaded this on yt with good quality.
Rewatching as an adult ans man does it hit differently, I started understanding Naoki more and his subtle love…
That's Naoki, he's a totally different person who don't know how to feel some emotions until Kotoko came into his life lol. Been a fan of this series since the It Started with a Kiss version (2005), and now i am feeling mixed emotions after reading an article about Tada's husband which he tells more about ItaKiss and now it make more sense to me.
OMG i am more attached to this drama after reading this article about the interview on Tada's (The deceased author) husband Shigeru who became the executive producer of this version 😍. I guess i don't have to worry no more about what's on Tada Kaoru's mind on how itakiss will end ❤❤.
Lol. So true. I watched it when I was waaay younger probably in my elementary days as well so I tolerated her…
Yeah yeah HAHA this is one of my first dramas, and since that i dont actually mind stupid , nonsense characters HAHA i'll just watch it as soon as i enjoy it.
THIS VERSION OF ITAKISS IS INDEED LEGENDARY!! This version is the one who set a high standard from the rest of the adaptatations.
I just rewatch this drama after 12 years because it was uploaded on youtube (Both Season 1 and 2 w/ special episodes) with good quality and eng sub. Deym, i really miss these two so much, the ArJoe ship in my heart feels like its very alive again haha.
- The best version for me was Itazura Na Kiss (2013) because of Miki Honoka and It Started with a Kiss because of ArJoe's chemistry. - Every moment between the two is just pure gold idk why haha. But this version of Zhi Shu is much better than other version since Joe Cheng smiles and laughs a lot. They even include some adlib scenes where Joe Cheng is out of his character because he's laughing so hard haha. - OST's on this version was the best, especially, "Practical Joke" every time i hear it i instantly having a memory of the good old days of my childhood when i was watching this on our local TV. - Their family never fails to let me laugh ajaja it was one of the best thing on this series. - The wedding scene is hilarious lol. It makes this version a kind of its own. - I will never get tired of watching this and now it's time to watch for Season 2 hihi.
Really sad that she died before finishing the book 2 of Itazura Na Kiss. Anyways, thank you for this wonderful manga that was remake into drama series many many times. I will never get tired of watching every remake <3.
I don't know why, but I just can't help it - I'm in love with this series! They go crazy all the way. Why have…
Even though we wanted to see them again, i think the ending in season 2 was going to be the best for both of them so there's no need for season 3. But i wish we can see them in another drama <3.
I enjoined this edition (Playful Kiss You Tube Edition). How about if they had a child. Who did the child character…
Yeah in the Anime they have daughter named Kotomi. She's very cute and seems pretty intelligent like his dad. But also she is always competing with his mom regarding the male lead affection HAHA.
I know this is not the best version among the rest. But still, every time i see this drama, i just suddenly remembering back my childhood haha. I remember when this aired on our local tv channel and the local theme song "Pagkakataon (Chance)" really hits hard. Still, no ones beats the legendary version It Started With a Kiss and They Kiss again of Taiwan.
I'm an avid fan of Itakiss and one of the drama's that made me go to the dramaworld and this is my takeaways.
The Best Versions: It Started With a Kiss - Because of Ariel and Joe's Chemistry and their skinship especially in season 2!!!!!. This one is also the closest to the manga where it was adapted. Itazura na Kiss (2013) - Because of Miki Honoka, she's so cute and portrays Kotoko the best if we base it on Anime/Manga Version and i also like the ending of season 2 were they actually show their complete family having a stroll in the park which gave it a perfect closure. - Both of these versions also had season 2.
The Best Naoki - I think its Joe Cheng since he smiles a lot and you can really see his character development among others. The scene on S2 were he keep all Xiang Qin's things is very special because you'll see how much he really cared for Xiang Qin. Anyways, in terms of handsomeness, i think i will go for Kashiwabara Takashi of the 1996 version. His Jaw movement every time makes him more cute lol.
The Most Cute/Beautiful Kotoko - For me its Miki Honoka and Ariel Lin, no cap.
The Best Kin Chan - I think its from Itazura na kiss (2013) and Playfull Kiss (2010).
The version which has different story/pacing - Kiss Me, so if you want an Itakiss version which is kind of different from the rest, then you might consider this one. It was also good but i prefer the original one.
Best OST - Practical Joke from It Started With a Kiss. This OST is very nostalgic and brings a lot of memories everytime i hear it.
