It's good to know that you have quite a lot information about this topic. I can't say I'm total unaware of this genre as I've watched decent amount of xianxia dramas. But from my opinion as the title clearly stated 'Introduction to Xianxia dramas,' so let it be just intro and clearing some basic concepts for new watchers of this genre. From what I think there isn't necessary of deep explanation for beginners coz as we go very deep in any topic there isn't fun at really watching and experiencing it. So for me it was fun and interesting article though yes we can have different perspective.

Wow it's so interesting. I just watched it recently and really loved it specially the main couple it was the best thing of the show. Well I think you left some questions for readers I'll give my opinions about some. (coz I always wait for someone to actually give answers to questions I left in my article Haha)
If a healthy relationship sounds so amazing, why do people enter and stay in an unhealthy relationships? : I haven't been any relationship, but sharing what I think abt it. I think there can be mainly three reasons. 1. Not actually knowing what's healthy relationship. 2. Having no experience in dating/romance before so this might works in this way kind of perspective or mentality. 3. It'll get better time it's hope.
Do you think his disappearance without telling her anything put him at fault? Why or why not? : From my opinion yup her reactions were right. I mean he left without saying proper goodbye and even didn't contacted with her even when she tried to contact with him and then he comes out of nowhere and says it was all for her to surprise her. So yeah it's impossible for anyone to not get mad. If yeah it's not fictional character.
In a relationship, how far someone should give the other party freedom? Is there any limit? : Again stating I have no rl experience. I think giving personal space and not interfering in it. And personal space means having own friend circle, freedom of choosing what's right for oneself.
Lin Xi's mom is considered a tiger/controlling mom. Do you think Lin Xi and Mom's relationship is healthy? : I think in any kind of relationship communication in main thing if there's a proper communication then we can call it healthy. I think lack of communication was one the reason that Lin Xi and her mom were emotionally distinct from each other. At Lin Xi's character age it's the age when anyone starts to think abt career/future and also wants to take their decision abt it. (well I'm about same age so telling from my perspective). And that's why being controlling also affect their relationship.

Oh yes fairytales have played important role in the drama so yeah it's like one it's feature as all the episodes are connected with different stories... but it's not everyone's taste it's like you'll love it or hate it or what we do drop it.. still I'll recommend it to you!

Haha it's good to see new perspective well I also thought that this story connect to both them but for Gang Tae more that's why I just added Gang Tae and also that Moon Young was expressive if she is angry or mad but Gang Tae was good at hiding his true feeling that's why I felt that it's more about Gang Tae more than Moon Young... though it's my perspective ^^
