Everybody is upset because they don't see what they like. But I think the story is good. I expected this so-called "love-triangle". I don't like love triangles, but here, there is no such thing. Inha used FL because he saw Taeoh liked her. Taeoh liked her because he thought they were similar, even if they didn't show us many scenes between them. Yes, he has a too good and wrong perception about her, but not everybody fancies someone because they are right for them. There are also people who fall for the wrong person, unfortunately. And, yes, I agree that he would be better off with Huiju. As for Hyewon, she just wants someone that she can use however she wants.
This was so much better than I thought it will be! It was incredible! So sweet and so, so good. That's how a relationship should be. They brought the best out of each other and made each other's lives better. I didn't expect to like this much.

"Not wanting to see grown-ups acting like twelve year olds" is great, but because of the actors, we don't realize their age entirely. At the begining of the story, they were very young. In those times, girls all over the world were married early. Gil Chae couldn't have been old enough to be mature. She was also a noble lady, who cared only to find her chosen one. That's why she was behaving "like a twelve year old". She still wasn't old enough, nor did she have the proper environment to grow up. Only with the war, she started growing up and started to mature. Also, the comparison with "Gone with the wind". Yes, it's true, it's very similar, but it's also its own story. And so what if it's similar with that story? I find a lot more beautiful and more interesting than that story. I cried a lot because of this drama. It's very emotional. It shows how hurtful can pride be. It also shows an inevitable suffering of innocents, that touched me a lot,

I don't think Ban Ji Eum is soft or dumb at all! It's strength from her part to be able to live for that long and not change or become a bad, or even an evil person, for all the suffering that she endured.
