Actor acting as Ha Ram's bodyguard was in a drama, My Father is Strange with Ahn Hyo Seop. Their characters were brothers in that drama. Both were supporting roles but Ahn Hyo Seop's character was the boyfriend of the youngest daughter in that family drama.
Although this drama has the usual rom-comedy tropes but is funny & endearing. Glad that FL realised her errors & admitted her prejudice. Also glad that ML realised that his good frd’s advice not reliable. He’s hidden his real identity from FL “sigh” …. Thank goodness only 24 epi
Zhou YuTong always portrayed very strong characters in her dramas since I first watched her in the Young Blood with Steven Zhang. Thats what i like about her.
Wenxing didnt expect that Shiyi couldn't swim. So she had to jump in to save her. What she originally wanted to…
Am wondering why Wenxing didn't attempt to have a good heart to heart talk with ZSC first. ZSC cares very much for her. As the drama progresses, he loves Shiyi more and more, so couldn't Wenxing try talking to him and get him to consider leaving instead of doing what she did so drastically regardless of whether Shiyi can swim cos she may inadvertently get hurt? (since ZSC don't care much for money, fame, etc). Separately, I think if Wenchuan does not conduct the family business properly, legally, ZSC will not leave the family business matter alone, hence, it may not simply be a question of whether ZSC can give up the family business, inheritance etc.
Have you watched the last ep? Mind to spoil it for me hehe
Teacher Xie died. Before he died, was unwell & mistook Yao Ke for Jing Chu & left the Dojo to Yao Ke. Yao Ke also plotted to get Jing Chu to leave the Dojo family. Jing Chu was traumatised by his Teacher passing & couldn’t play Go until a long time friend of his Teacher, another GO master reminded him of his strong relationship with his Teacher & hinted that there’s more to the situation at the Dojo including the idea that his Teacher wanted him to leave. In the end, Yao Ke confessed everything, his jealousy, his spite etc to Jing Chu & a pair of reporters recorded everything & exposed it to the public. Yao Ke was banned from competing for life. But Jing Chu asked him back to the Dojo to help teach their young students. Jing Chu recovered & was able to compete & he got engaged with Cheng Liao. Cheng Yi ended with Yu Da & Yu Da’s dad invested in the Dojo. Xu Chi wish Cheng Yi & YD well & left.
Luv the Teacher & ML relationship, full of respect, admiration and love, the best. Don't like the ending episodes. Although can understand Cheng Yi not choosing her best friend, but can't stand Yu Da till the end.
Agreed; hence I fast forwarded Cheng Yi’s parts with him as I foreseen very early on she’ll settle for him. I mentioned in an earlier post, he’s a good guy but impetuous, frivolous & unappreciative even at times & would cause people around him troubles. I don’t buy his seriousness about mastering GO. He wanted to leave for Beijing even. 🙄 I believe that there are tons of people who are more earnest & hardworking than him (just because he has to work to earn a living doesn’t mean he’s hardworking as many have to as well) who want to learn GO from ML. He come across as more infatuated with the idea of learning from the top GO master.
I luv the CP, the Cheng family dynamics, the family at the dojo excl Yao Ke. Although Yu Da is a good guy, but can't bring myself to like him (he's impetuous, frivolous, unappreciative ... likely to give those good people around him more trouble) ... but his goofy antics seem to have shaken Cheng Yi's heart slowly. Feel bad for Xu Chi. Overall an enjoyable drama.
Who is the Crown Prince? I thought Prince Yang Myung is the CP. But, he is not?
No, he isn't. The Crown Prince does not seem to be a key character in this drama altho vying for the throne is part of the central theme. During the Rain Ritual, the young Crown Prince appeared along with young Grand Princes Joo Hyang & Yang Myung.
She was called out, because only she know who was on video, so teacher want she say who it was, in video were…
Thanks for explaining the video thingy, i really must hv bn asleep to miss all that. As for the competition, i understand FXY & FQZ only won a sort of consolation prize, hence trophy only, no prize money. They couldn’t have won because their trick wasn’t done smoothly & got exposed. I thot 1 of the girls’ teams (YJQ & HFSM or LL & the guy) may hv won.
Watched upto ep7 but the continuity of the story arc/editing is atrocious unless i fell asleep during those resolving moments …There was a video of a couple circulating on their uni social media & the oldest girl, Jia Qian was called out of class n drama panned to 3 hours earlier … so, why was Jia Qian called out? Who were in that video? Also, how did other teams from the 3 gals fare in the performance competition? I didn’t get any resolution from these story arc.
Tbh the only thing that bother me a little is that our five protagonists, even if they're bestfriends with each…
Totally agree. Not all BFFs behave like what some have described, to share every details, esp the matured folks. Sometimes, space is needed, & when time is right, he/she may share it with others. They will jump in only if there’s something they think they can do or help.
I thoroughly enjoyed this drama far far more than expected. Thought it’ll go thru the usual rom-drama trope but no, it didn’t. Although it wasn’t perfect, within a 24 epi scope, it added/showcased layers till the end that made the drama more special & heart warming. Kudos to the cast, luv the CP, esp the ML who’s acted very well for not an easy character as a new actor. Luv the OSTs too esp Forever Shine for Me. 😘🙌🏻🥰 Like to add, can see there’s 4 parts to ML’s character, 1st – thriving (opening up to love & life potential), 2nd – protecting (providing remote care), 3rd – fighting (desperately struggling for 2nd chance, albeit in his admitted overboard ways), finally 4th – supportive (providing safe haven to heal & love).
