Song Mo slapping both princes was epic! 😂😎. Gu Yu’s luv for & loyalty to Song Mo is unwavering, like a real brother. 🙌🏻. Knew JiYong is a good guy all along (in the novel too & a rather key character for him to become a bad character in the drama).

Don't understand why director wants to deviate the drama story arc from the novel towards the end. There were many issues, characters involved towards the end, and director could focus on those to bring it to a good ending. In the novel, I thought ML should have taken more precaution considering what he knows, and he knows a lot, still, it was a satisfying ending for the CP.
As for Song Han, he's not right in his mind, due to what he's seen, experienced & learnt under his mean, useless father growing up, hence the 180 degree change. Could tell from the drama he's terrified of losing his status as the 2nd young master of the Song family, coupled with his dad's dream & false hope of replacing Song Mo with him. In the novel, he's a monster, a psychopath.

Correct, Empress is Gu Yu's aunt. Gu Yu is extremely loyal to Song Mo.

In the novel, Dou Zhao’s cousin married a scholar who is the adopted son of Dou Zhao’s family teacher.

Hope the director doesn’t become an ass & spoil the adaptation towards the last part & ending. Preview of Ep 26 doesn’t bode well for the CP’s relationship. In the novel, ML was never poisoned & the CP has the best relationship, often understand each other very well & able to predict each other’s actions without having to say it out while overcoming numerous storms in their lives.

FL’s stepmom was banished to her maiden family after the sister wedding swap incident & doesn’t appear in novel. FL’s father grew a spine & father/daughter relationship was repaired, he showed much care & love towards FL thereafter altho he’s still a softie & blurred at times,

Having & displaying loads of money & properties is power but having the Ability to Generate large sum of money is omniscient to those greedy people. FL displayed her wealth to humble ML’s family members & to scare, challenge them from demanding she surrenders her wealth to them by saying her co-investors from the rich & powerful families expect a continuous high return & if they can & know how to do it, they can take over, otherwise will have to face the co-investors’ wrath & divestment. Obviously, they can’t & in turn, want to invest in FL’s ventures.

ML is a very different person when he's with FL. Besides being the most considerate & best hubby, he's rather clingy to his wife and absolutely respects & trusts her. Outside of their Yixing residence, he appears to be rather cold, & fear by many. Think drama is going along the same trend as in the novel. Hopefully, the drama continues with the thriving relationship between the two Duo sisters unlike the novel where Dou Ming is rather mean and jealous of FL, but in this case, the stepmum was banished to her maiden home. A most enjoyable drama so far.

Fast paced and strong characters. Almost mid-way thru drama, no dull moments.

Despite the drama flaws, DYX as the ML has done very well in his role, think he beefed up since his early acting days and he looks much better for it. He emotes very well. His hair, makeup, attire are beautifully & his fighting scenes brilliant.
The FL's acting is good considering her age and experience but not so much of her character in the earlier episodes. Luckily, she's more self aware and see the bigger picture as the drama progresses.
Empress Dowager's character is inconsistent .... anyway, hardly come across any great Emperor, Empress or ED in dramas except Love like the Galaxy. Can't tolerate certain characters, so spoil the viewing enjoyment for me that I had to fast forward/skip.

And there the FL went, supposedly smart but insisted on investigating on her own with no fighting skills, fell into trap, when already knew the ongoing plot is too complicated involving many powerful parties. 😐. How many times her hubby has to rescue her from being killed to being framed. 😓 Not feeling bad about any bad thing falling on her. Need to be alive & free to investigate. Not sure how far I’ll watch.

Both ML & FL acted really well for their roles, watched up to ep 10 so far. Knew DYX is a fairly good actor & he portrayed the ML’s fearsome character well. The drama’s pace is good too, threading & tying up the various crimes as it progresses, indicating a larger sinister plot.

Can’t tolerate Ma Rong. After following ML for years & solving cases, she’s still so impetus, obnoxious, unreasonable, rude, break laws,, cause problems, never learnt. ML should retire her.

Agree. At epi 11, she's still so unprofessional. She can express her personal feelings but not in front of client. She persists despite getting the boss death stare. She should also know better that her boss has his reasons and talk with him after meeting. The audacity of her not wanting to work on the case because of how she feels & disagree with the boss. LOL She would have been fired in other law firm, never learnt her lesson, not suitable for this type of work if she doesn't wise up. M dropping this.

Really like & enjoyed the drama very much. Fairly different from high school to adulthood dramas where the ML is invariably aloof. Can't believe I cried along with SZ when she's heartbroken & cried. Personally, a testatment to ZLS' great acting skills. Love the supporting characters in addition to the CP. Great acting all round & assemble.

I've seen Kido in a few supporting roles and I thought he acted really well in them. I'll check this one out.

May be YooRa did a smirch campaign against Hari by letting on to the press that Hari is 2-timing with MW & KTM (hence in preview Hari said they even released KTM’s info) when MW broke up with her after he found out what a vile miserable person she is from the start. In this way, YooRa would also get to destroy Hari & KTM relationship (& Kang’s family objection to their relationship) which she is so jealous of.
Also think grandpa is testing Hari or the preview purposely misled us about grandpa.
During their date, think Hari was trying to replace KTM’s trauma during the rain with pleasant & sweet memories.

Seo Kang Joon acted well in this. Couldn’t recognise Kim Ah Joong. 🤭
