No punching thing isn't in the manhwa and urgh jxjfj my hands are itching to tell everyone this in the manhwa minwoo exactly dated his current gf back then and now because he never had balls to confess to Hari even when he like her , but in manhwa when minwoo get's to know that long ago shin Hari did ( DID is used in past tense yes I'm not telling you I'm telling myself and others lol) like him , he got drunk next day and came clean to Hari and when Hari got to know this , she immediately realized what a dump of a guy he is and by and by realised her feeling for taemu. You know how it's like in real life that if let's say the pairing of our discussion is X , Y and X proposes to Y and dang let's go with Hari and taemu only ... know that shin Hari knows that he has done so many things for her .. getting that stalker ( remember in ep 5?) in the prison , voluntarily acting as her bf , giving her clothes and asking to dress up white and a lot more ...she has a lot of power currently in their relationship because in a way after his confession taemu has given all his cards out. I know shin Hari won't think through like this because a lot of other things are going on in her head like ' I'm not good for him. What will others think ' ..yeah to back on the point after saying that all " if you reject me , I'll confess again and again , so you should brace yourself" kang taemu is in no position to be chased because he isn't playing hard to get it's kind of opposite though as she's dealing with her ' I'm not good for him' monologue. I wonder if that makes sense?
I wonder if you all noticed but when everyone thought that Hari got her finger cut instead of that sauce or whatever and then they learnt the truth, the whole reaction that taemu gave away (that intially he was about to dash towards her and when he knew what happened he kind of relaxed even though minwoo was just around trying to check if she was ok or not, he ( kang tae mu ) was relaxed at that point, i think it indicates a sense of emotional security that he's feeling rn.
But the whole thing that a lot of people was saying in the comments kind of feels wrong to me that ' it's bad on hari's part to not reciprocate it right away'.Saying stuff like kang taemu deserves better or something. Because that it shin Hari. Rn i think there's a lot going on in her mind, first they didn't have a look convo as to how he got to know that she is shin Hari ( only he and we know about that) and when she was in the middle of a work related trip , she got ropped in between the 'i gotta act as if me and the president of the company are dating.' that all would have definitely made sense to her with the info that he has feelings for her and he likes her. Somewhere even she likes him. But the thing that is being a major no for her is not something that concerns kang tae mu , it's more about her current low self esteem , as fake Jin young so she had the wealth to be in a confident position , as shin geumi , she had his consent that at those times when his grandfather is around they are dating, but rn i think she feels bare... Moreover the social expectations ( which was show through her co worker saying stuff about , who so ever would be dating the president would be having a good academic background and same money status and stuff , whereas she is average in her opinion,... it's more of a ' I'm not good enough for you' shit that is coursing through her head rn. Yeah i totally agree with you there fam. It's like i think personally .. whenever a girl in such situation tries to stop her guy , she usually stands in front of him facing him ( her guy ie kang tae mu) it's more like a sentiment that ' you would just get dirt on yourself if you try to hit mud' thing I wonder if others have ever heard of sucha thing. Moreover i think it ( the punch scene) is after the whole ( her getting jealous once she listens about the date grandfather chairman sets for him and a ' unretured text' { as written in the synopsis , I'm just peicing together the information that was given by both the synopsis on Netflix and ep 8 trailer}) and by that time the viewer would be clear with the thing that most of them aren't able to see ..the fact that she has feelings for him too and that she like him , it's the societal expectations as shown in the scenes ( of her co working saying stuff that who so ever on that pic would be a woman from similar academic or family background, this was even shown in the scenes where her so called friends' expression was ' how could she have such a boyfriend')
