I dont see how writer will justify in just 1 episode.

I don't think so, he can't say that I will not do reporting for this story as my friends may get hurt. Right?

He is a fencing reporter the probability of him reporting something which will hurt HeeDo is high. That's why YiJin tried to stay away from HeeDo in first place.

And unlike HeeDo mom with that coach, he didn't state anything false right. Even if YiJin didn't report it, some one else will definitely do it. But, yes YiJin himself reporting it will hurt more.

The writer is just deceiving us from start and clearly showing us HeeDo YiJin doesn't end up together. It doesn't feel right
