I like Kim Sabu better in this season, he's bolder and more powerful than in season 2. But the young doctors give me headache, they're fighting and shouting all the time.
My problem with this drama only, did the writer really like to romanticize non-consensual kiss? She did it in this season and again in next season. I'm sorry but the kiss on episode 1 literally an assault, he grabbed forced her to do that. In this department, surely the writer didn't have character development even after 4 years gap.
I used to think Jaehoon isn't HH's son but the son of the mother who doesn't want to abort her baby and believes the baby would turn to be a good human, and it might be Yohan who is the son of HH (he uses his mother surename). But turns out Kim Jung Nan, the actress who played HH's wife has pictures while she's filming on choco's burial site, where Jaehoon's mother confronts him. So, is Jaehoon the real son of HH, or is it just to mislead the viewers?
But I still believe Jaehoon isn't Yohan. His weird demeanor and job as doctor (Jaehoon's dream) surely just for distraction, if not then it's the easiest story ever. My guess adult Jaehoon is Bareum who changes his identity. He also could be a current serial killer.
Another thing is, did Jaehoon really kill his family? There're only 3 corps, if the mother is still alive the first person to be suspected is must be her. The way the father died seems he fell from upstair, opposites from where Jaehoon stands. The lie detector shown he doesn't lie, maybe it's true. Jaehoon seems doesn't like lies, he would admit he was killing if he did.
what do you think Acting Jun Yeo Bin is good or not?
It's my first time watching her, I think when she talks casually her acting is good. But when she has to be overacting or comedical it seems unnatural and looks trying hard to be funny. Intentional comedic role is very tricky, not every actor/actress can did it flawlessly.
Taecyeon is a main villain according to his cast news, he's probably the hockey guy. But I'm a bit confused, a secret character is not supposed to have a pov or monologue about his/her disguise character, but in episode 2 when he eavesdrops the lawyer's phone conversation they showed a tiny pov of him, even though it's only through his facial expression.
I love how all the main protagonists, including the sidekicks, are smart and act fast, even though they are just common people. What I dislike is the ending of evil (couple) characters, it makes me sad for them and I hate it.
The cliffhanger at the end of each episode is what hooked me! I finished it in just 3 days. Truly hidden gems! Too bad it's still not available on mainstream streaming platforms even until now.
It's reasonable if this drama is highly-loved in their home country, if non-korean viewers could feel nostalgic by it, let alone the koreans. Very detail with events, also the reference of today korean famous figures at that time.
Anyway, being spoiled of who the husband is helps me a lot to see things objectively. Can't relate with the fuss about the husband hunting as it's really takes a minor part of the story.
If this drama directed by Shin Won Ho, I believe it wouldn't be as underrated as this. Similar warm slice of life stories, also some twist here and there. The earlier episodes seems slow but it's get better and better in every episodes. I love how the main leads have differ background and character portrayal.
I feel Chae Songhwa is different from other Shin PD and writer Lee female lead characters. She isn't like a reverse harem or the center of the story. She might have suitors but she remains level-headed about it. She felt bad at Chihong but it didn't bother her to stay cool and fair to him. Instead of romance, I see her role more as an emotional pillar, not only for her friends but also her subordinates. She is so passionate to her roles as doctor, supervisor and teacher.
The director already confirmed as first season ended that it's Ikjun who Songhwa liked back then in 1999, that's why the idea/scenario of Songhwa might be liking her other male friend in the present time (mostly people said it's Jeongwon) doesn't sit well with me. I mean, what's the point of that? Does Songhwa, who seems okay to stay friends with all of them for 20 years, alternately like her male friends one by one? Moreover her other male friends already romantically connected with someone else. It would only be a downhill for her character. He also said that not everyone is prepared for love, in first season Songhwa just got cheated on, she wasn't on the situation where she should involve with romance.
Looking into it, to be honest I often feel that people are trying to "impose" Songhwa to be someone's lover by match-making her, while she doesn't bother with it. There's nothing wrong with romance, but considering her circumstance and character, in my opinion it could be a disservice to her. This is reminds me of how she is being cornered in elevator with Ikjun and Chihong, or at NS dinner where her personal life seems to be everyone's concern.
I like Ikjun, he's my favorite character. If later he ends up with Songhwa, I'll be very happy too. But for me, the possibility of Songhwa staying single until the end of the series isn't an odd idea. I just hope that whether being together or not, the writer can be consistent to Ikjun and Songhwa character, and not make a wholesome person like Ikjun as a sad-boy just because his feelings are unrequited. After all, just like the title, Wise Doctor Life, the showrunners want to give message of how to live wisely, so I really expect them to not put unnecessary drama into it.
What makes today episode blunder? I don't get it, all seems fine. Well unless that kid but I guess they made it…
The kid part pissed me off too. But as I'm saying I guess it's intentional to make them failed. Judging by the teaser seems the evil spirits move to the mayor body. Let's see how it goes.

Oh well, I forget to add that yes I understand the sidestory of Shin but I agree that he doesn't need redemption arc at all. He's still need to be punished. We still don't know what will happen next to him, in the previous episode teaser seems the evil spirits of him move to the mayor body. What I mean is so far he's one of the main villain (strongest evil spirit), to give him a sidestory isn't something unnecessary or a plot twist, it's up to the viewers to take it as what.
For politic side, didn't the main story indeed start from that? I mean how Somun lost his parents and how Motak almost died. They have fictional city with problematic politicians who used evil spirits. This is related to each other. Well we can't expect they just catch random evil spirit on daily basis meanwhile they have this main issue who indirectly fatefully brougth them up together right? At least for Somun, the central figure. Plus the evil spirits now possessed the mayor.
No worries, I don't say you are an anti or anything. So am I, even though I don't feel any different with the flow doesn't mean I'm satisfied with everything (I dissapointed how Jeongyeong ends), I just don't see the blunder especially in last episode, thus I'm asking in the first place.

I already expected that Shin has backstory that could lead viewers to sympathize to him since early episodes where he appeared with his father. He has this longing feelings, or something different from his appearance in first episode.
Well I'm not aware which one is American style or Korean style but as long as I watched Kdrama, it's easy to guess that a villain isn't just a random villain and has another backstory if one of the hint, they showed different behavior. So, in my opinion that's not a plot twist.
About the writer, in which episode exactly she left? The original article only said midst of the series, the director wrote the last episode, so did she leave on episode 12? But it's no longer midst of the series. Also the filming is already done. To judge the story going downhill because they changed the writer seems vague to me, even after they announced 2nd season (if I'm not mistaken before episode 7) because at least for me I don't feel any different, the story in every episode really picked up where they left in previous episode, and all of them are important.
does this explain the blunder of today's episode? DANGhttps://www.allkpop.com/article/2021/01/the-writer-of-the-uncanny-counter-gets-replaced-mid-series
