I think they might show it the next episode about what happened when Daon and Taekyung finally get their closure. Maybe Taekyung rejected Daon's call and Taekyung will finally tell Daon that he still cares for him but only as a friend now. The feeling is gone or maybe he misunderstood his feelings. Shinwoo doesn't hear their conversation since he left so he might think Taekyung likes Daon still. And then, the final episode will probably show us the whole bracelet story of Shinwoo's past. Just my speculation.
Shinwoo-Taekyung definitely end game. The confession scene is the ending scene in both the trailer and the music video. It would be stupid to put that if they were not the end game. Both the OSTs are about ShinTae. Also, I don't think this will go into open ending as this series was definitely made to sell commercially so they have to keep the audience happy. It's not an independent movie so I really doubt they will take that road. But, I am still curious how they will end it.
I like how Shinwoo talks and advices Daon as it is when they are face to face but defends him when Daon is not around. While, Daon's friends talks behind his back but acts nice when he is around. And, that is why Shinwoo is the best. He is just so....... pure, mature and understanding.
Honestly, so many people are going to be mad and hugely disappointed by the series if he doesn't get a happy ending. It's not like Shinwoo has an another love interest so I really hope they will make Taekyung fall for Shinwoo. I mean, it's not that hard to NOT fall for Shinwoo. LOOK AT HIM!!!!
I know Shinwoo is the main character so it's very much likely that he will end up with Taekyung and the director is just trying to mess with people for the plot twist. It's just I want the BEST for shinwoo and want to see him happy as soon as possible.
Okay, now I am sure Shinwoo is end game. There are only 2 OSTs. 1st(SPARK) has the cover picture of all the cast members and the 2nd(FEVER) has the cover of Shinwoo-Taekyung only. Anyways. it's a good news for me as Shinwoo deserves it. He is the main lead in the disguise of a sacrificing 2nd lead. Very smart and unique.

I just have a theory like most people that I think Shinwoo used to like that bully. They were friends before and shinwoo confessed but he got rejected. And, that's why Shinwoo is reluctant and scared in confessing to Taekyung. Shinwoo, also in one of previous episodes said 'why is it happening again?' implying his heart beating fast. BUT, it's just a theory.
It seems like Shinwoo's first love is someone else. Maybe the bully? So, if Taekyung's first love is Daon, and it won't work out, I think they are going for the first love hardly or never works out trope.
They offered him to be training under SM. Being a trainee during that time doesn't guarantee a EXO debut though. He could have debuted in NCT or not at all for all we know.
I don't know why people are worried. Literally 95% of the people that watches this show is Team Shinwoo. On every platform, Kang Yooseok(Shinwoo)'s name is second to Lee Saeon(Taekyung). And, Cho Chanyi(Daon) is not even mentioned on WeTV. Half of the series is still left.
