Because Romance and shipping is a huge selling point in K dramas. Hot brooding secretly good guys paired with pretty vulnerable spunky heroines to bring out their protective sides is pure crack :) if such plots weren’t popular they would not be in every other drama.
Real talk a fated connection between a man and women and thinking it won’t have some romantic plot line driving the action in a Korean Drama is frankly unrealistic.
If they do actually make SU evil after all I will have to drop this as Having Hwal come to trust her, presumably have feelings for her and open up to her sweet, kind demeanor, come to enjoy having a “family” again and then reveal it really was a huge ruse by a murderous monster after all would be utterly horrible .
