but they couldn't catch the emotional aspects of the story as they did in s1, I think I will be more emotional about the deaths in s1 compare to this season if I re-watch it whole.

This season is plain as hell.....1st season was full of emotions. (Last few episodes really made me do poker face...thats how plain it all was)
cinematography has increased a lot no doubt but the story/episodic arcs are something which you have seen many times somewhere before.

They did, and damn it totally looked forced. Felt so annoyed the way they handled the absence of one cast.

okay I finished all of em today, yeah it wasn't that predictable (but it was till first 7-8 eps), of course can't know the exact details but I still guessed how things would turn out to be (u can call it my kdrama intuition , as I been watching them for many years). ....but yeah remaining last few were not.

I tried watching it today..... loving everything except for main romance storyline, not because its bad but because it too predictable.

is it because of her similar role from one drama where she play some similar con artist role but psycho. (I dropped that drama after 2-3 episodes btw for various reasons)

So it isn't anything like ML and his family were suffering, then one day FL enters his life and everything changes, everyone is happy, ML also changes with the power of love and start taking care of his family not because of his own realization & responsibility towards his family but because FL whispers some philosophical stuffs in his ears.
Not anything typical or like some female fairytale fantasy like this right? RIGHT??

Why does it feel like that everybody trying really hard to act like someone who they are not.
