Title Cheer Up Spoiler
Wow wow wow, watching this drama felt so long since many things happened. It’s overall 50/50 to me, I wouldn’t suggest to remove this on your watchlist however you shouldn’t rush to watch it either. Imo it’s not for binge-watching type of drama since there were many things going on and not all of it is necessary and pleasing to watch, some things happened again and again and it can get a bit draggy and tiring. I got very frustrated due to the never ending problems and unnecessary turns of events i think the director/writer was confused of what really is the plot or twist they should put that they just ended up throwing every problems they thought of. The family (mothers) scenes were touching but i find it unfitting and too much, same as the teacher/ex-captain couple. It would be so much better if the show just focused on youthful/light drama and the whole cheer squad itself, their friendship growth and hardships together, their performances, and the squad couples as well. It’s too bad since there’s so many wasted potentials in this show, like damn the whole squad cast are all great actors, gorgeous, with great chemistry but it’s wasted, the love triangle itself was already enough to make a plot they didn’t have to over-do it, this would’ve been better with 12 episodes or less. But then again there’s a good side to this as well, i must admit their performances made me feel ecstatic, the joy of performing i was so relieved as well as if i am one of the dancers. The friendship and support of each other was so fulfilling to watch. The ending was quite emotional and meaningful for me. It was tiring to watch but still… i know that i enjoyed it. The title should’ve been “Cheer up Do Hae yi” she’s the main character after all. Also, i find the hate for the SML too much… he wasn’t that bad, I honestly liked his character from beginning to end. It’s also sad that Bae Inhyuk’s finally a male lead but he’s character wasn’t that memorable. I liked his character tho i needed more and he can do better.
