I feel you, months ago I had seen the trailer and I was very impatient and excited. After starting to see it I thought it was a bit slow at times, but nothing unrepeatable, after episode 8 I'm really perplexed like you. Maybe in future episodes we will better understand their past and understand their choices, I'm angry with Aue for the kiss scene and I don't know how he could solve the matter, also I felt uncomfortable too during dinner, even if only for the question of lights. Aek didn't have to call a stranger, but he was confused, he was hurt, he was not in the best condition, maybe he was even traumatized, I don't know, so I understand him more. In any case I felt uncomfortable even when Aek went to his new friend's house, I don't know, he doesn't convince me. I have a bad feeling about it.
